April 22nd, 2015 Hello Everyone, As you are well aware, prep has already started for the 2015 Dan's Invitational Golf Tournament which promises to be bigger and better. Last year was a GREAT success with the 28 teams (112 golfers) that participated at the seventh annual Dan's Invitational at The Links at Quarry Oaks and I look forward to this year’s tournament. Due to the overwhelming recommendations and feedback from last year, I've decided to keep the venue at Quarry Oaks which is only 45 minutes from Winnipeg. By going back to this course, I wanted to ensure I have the best possible price and this year, the price has increased by $5 only to accommodate a “shot gun start” so that we are all done our round of golf at a reasonable time. This brings the cost to $60 per person for 18 holes with cart and it also includes a great dinner. With the shot gun start style, everyone will be teeing off at 1:00pm which will work out so much better than last year. As always, the tournament will be in a Texas scramble format. For the fifth consecutive year, there will be a silent auction with ALL proceeds going to the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. Last year we donated a total of $4500 and with the group of golfers growing every year, I know that this year we will be able to surpass this total. This tournament is strictly for the fun and passion we have for the game. My goal/mission is to have the most affordable golf tournament in Manitoba and at the same time being able to raise money for a great cause. This year, the event will be held on Saturday July 25th, 2015 so you still have some time to get back to me but I’ll be honest, spots are filling up quickly. Deadline to register is Saturday July 3rd, 2015 OR when total spots have been filled (capped @ 144 golfers due to shotgun start)!
