Overview of Guide
Welcome to the Connecticut Campus Recruitment Guide.
We are pleased to present to you a resource for recruiting your future employees from our colleges
and universities right here in Connecticut.
We understand that small businesses have limited HR capacity. This guide will save your valuable
time and resources by providing contact information at your local college and university career
services offices.
The guide also includes career fair and expo dates for each college/university along with instructions
for recruiting on campus and posting a job/internship position.
Please feel free to give us suggestions and feedback about this guide, which will be uploaded on a
semiannual basis.
Happy recruiting!

JOBS Employers; see account details below. Employers can register and make payment
electronically via fax or snail mail. Employers are invited to arrive at 11:00 am for setup, with lunch
served at 12:00 pm. SCSU students, alumni and students from other colleges and universities are
welcome, a trend of 500 students.
Additionally, we invite you to consider how the SCSU School of Business can partner with you for
successful internship and full-time employment recruiting. Call us at 203-392-5635 or email us at
[email protected] to speak with Laquita Joyner-McGraw, Business Development and
Internship Coordinator.
Recruiting
Informational Recruitment: Employers who have SCSU JOBSs accounts are invited to campus to
present information about their company and career opportunities. Employers are offered two visits
per semester based on availability. An informational recruitment table allows students to explore
various career fields in an informal setting. This is at no cost to employers, and each visit is
advertised to students via social media and posted on the university calendar.
On-Campus Interviews: SCSU’s Career Advising office hosts on-campus interviews during the
spring. Employers who request to participate will select candidates via submitted resumes and arrive
to campus on their predetermined date to conduct interviews. Career advising implements and
executes a major marketing campaign of employers and positions to seniors, juniors and alumni.
Employers prescreen students for interviews, and Career Advising contacts selected students to
arrange a full day of interviews for each employer within their requested interview interval. Please call
203-392-6536 to select a date during the specified time period.
How to Post a Job/Internship at SCSU:
JOBSs will allow you to post all of your employment opportunities. The availability of JOBSs is not
limited to SCSU graduating seniors but also to underclassmen and alumni. Please visit our Career
Services page via http://www.southernct.edu/student-life/academic-success/career-services/, click on
the JOBSs/Employers logo, and select “Register and Post Job.” Once we receive your job posting,
we will review it for approval and report your status back to you. Please be sure to review our Job
Posting Policy.
