Planning to attend the Rally to Save Connecticut
Library Funding on April 15th?
Here’s how you can make the most of your day!











Contact your legislators to invite them to the rally at noon in Room 2A of
the Legislative Office Building (LOB).
Wear RED!
Bring colleagues, Board Members, Friends and other supporters with you.
Are your kids home from school? Bring them along!
Be creative. Make a sign to show your support of CT Libraries!
Plan to arrive early so that you’re in Room 2A by noon. In order to enter
the LOB you will have to pass through security control.
Plan to arrive even earlier and take a tour of the capitol building

Carpool! Parking at the LOB, 300 Capitol Ave. is free, but limited.

Other parking options:
o Court House Parking, 3 Grand St. (3 blocks from LOB)
o Central Park, 180 Allyn St. (.5 mi. walk across Bushnell Park)
o Propark & Central Park, 308 Asylum St. (.5mi. walk across Bushnell
Park/Capitol Grounds)
o Metered on-street parking is available if you’re lucky!

Give CT FastTrak a try! The 121 and 161 buses stop at Capitol Ave &
State Armory (adjacent to the LOB). Visit www.ctfastrak.com for maps,
schedules and parking information.
When you arrive at Room 2A, pick up a sticker and wear it proudly.
Add your signature the “Declaration for the Right to Libraries”.
After the Rally, plan to visit your legislators offices. Bring copies of letters
to your legislators to drop off.
CT Libraries will not be the only rally taking place at the LOB that day.
