Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP): Register Completion of NPP can change your life and strengthen your family
relationships as you begin to learn and practice the nurturing principles. Parents meet for weekly group sessions
and then practice the skills at home and/or onsite with their children. NPP is part of CUPS Pre-Natal to Three and
One World Child Development Centre’s parent education.




Pre-Natal NPP: coming soon
Best Beginning: Drop-in to this Alberta Health Services program for pregnant women. Join the group for lunch in
the FDC at 12:00. Session starts at 12:45. See the schedule for weekly topics.
Finding Our Voices: Register Join this 6 week self-esteem group starting March 31st, followed by a 14 week domestic
violence group starting Sept 2015.This program is offered to women who want to develop their self-esteem and/or are
at risk of experiencing or have experienced domestic violence.
Magic Carpet Ride: Drop-in to listen to stories, learn new songs and rhymes, engage in activities with your
children. This is a great way to help them get ready for school!
Peer Support Services for Abused Women (PSSAW): Register You can still join this self-esteem group and have
the option to join the 14 week domestic violence group. This program is offered to women who want to develop
their self-esteem and/or are at risk of experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. Ends Mar 10 and starts
again Mar 31. Register with Jemma at 403-221-8799.
Supporting Father Involvement: Register Are you an expectant dad or father of a child under 6 years? Want to
strengthen your family relationships? This program can help you be a more supportive dad and partner. Dinner and
childcare are provided. Begins Mar 4 at Acadia Resource Center. Register with Jemma at 403-221-8799.
Women’s Chat Group: Register/ Drop-in This group is an informal opportunity to get together with other people
to talk and meet new people. Topics are chosen by the group at the end of each meeting for the next week.

new parents and babies 2 - 9 months. Apr 1, 8, 15, & 22.

AISH/Alberta Workers: Drop-In/Appointment Get help with the AISH/ Alberta Works application process on the 1 st

Calgary Legal Guidance: Drop-in Meet with Gabriel Chen from Calgary Legal Guidance (CLG) about legal issues on

CUPS Child Development Centres: The Centres work with parents and children to provide support, education
(including Nurturing Parenting) and training related to parenting and child development. The Pre-Natal to Three
Child Development Centre supports families with pre-natal - 35 month old children. One World supports families
with pre-school & kindergarten (3-6 years) children.
CUPS Dental Program: Adult & children’s services include exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, x-rays, emergency
dental care. Dental coverage is required (e.g., Alberta Works, AISH, NHIB, Child Health Benefits).
Saturdays – Adult extractions only; no dental coverage required. Info: 403-206-1060.

Possibilities Group: Drop-in Change your negative thoughts, improve relationships and solve problems in our
group. Tuesdays, 1:00-2:00 in Room 206.
