Involving Single Dog Entries
Veterans Classes: Classes for dogs & bitches 8 years & under 10 years, 10 years and under 12 years and 12
years and over. Sexes divided.
Hunting Retriever Classes: Classes for dogs & bitches that have earned an AKC Junior, Senior or Master
Hunter title under AKC rules. Sexes divided.
Field Trial Classes: Classes for dogs & bitches that have won, placed or received a judge's award of merit in
any AKC licensed or member field trial. Sexes divided.
NON-REGULAR CLASSES
Involving Multiple Dog Entries
*Stud Dog Class: For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and
shown in the ring with their Get. Award will be based on the merits of the Get. Get must be individually entered
in one of the breed classes in this show for which it is eligible.
*Brood Bitch Class: Same as Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.
*As a judge’s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch,
no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed by
virtue of having won this class.
Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows allows spayed bitches and castrated dogs to be
shown in the Veterans, and as the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch in classes at Independent Specialties.
JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP
Novice Class: For boys and girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time
entries close, have not won three first places with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or
member show.
Open Class: For boys and girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time
entries close, have won three first places with competition present in a Novice Junior Showmanship Class at
a licensed or member show.
Master Class: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the
day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to
enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for
the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter
the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the
eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the
following year.
Junior Handlers must include their AKC Junior Handler Number on each entry. You may obtain your
junior identification number by calling the AKC at (919) 233-9767. Be sure all information for Junior classes is
entered on the front and back of the entry form.
Bitches in season are not eligible. At Specialty shows, dog must be of the breed for which the show is held.
OBEDIENCE & RALLY TRIAL CLASSES
Transfers will be permitted in accordance with Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 16.
All Obedience and Rally classes will be run in jump-height order from Small-Tall.
The Rally ring size will be 40’ x 50’.
Please include your jump height(s) on the entry form.
Bitch in Season Refunds: The Club will refund one-half (1/2) of the entry fee for bitches unable to compete for that reason. All
refund requests must be accompanied by a dated, signed letter on official business letterhead from your veterinarian stating the
reason that your dog cannot compete. E-mails, phone calls and non-letterhead notes will not be considered. All requests must be
received by the Show Secretary by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the show.

4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition
One combined class, not divided by sex, will be offered for Golden Retrievers that are at least four
months and under six months of age on the day of the competition. All of the puppies are
exhibited in the same class and the only placements are Best of Breed (BOB) and Best of
Opposite Sex to Best of Breed (BOS).
Entry and eligibility requirements:
• AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC
recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. A foreign
born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.
• All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian’s
protocol.
• Professional handlers are not permitted to exhibit in this class. (Professional handlers are
defined as anyperson who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization,
distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for
pay.)

Weather: Be prepared for anything! The weather is generally warm in western Pennsylvania in
June. The average high is 78 and the average low is 50. The maximum average precipitation
occurs in the month of June, so don’t forget appropriate clothing in case of rain!
Additional Information
Dogs need to be at the show only at the scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately
thereafter unless required for further judging. The judge is not required to wait for dogs. It is the
responsibility of the owner or handler to have the dog at ringside when required and without
being called.
Please keep the area cleaned up with the equipment provided. If we are to have access to
these facilities again, exhibitors and handlers MUST keep them clean.
There will be no smoking inside the building. Please dispose of trash in the proper manner.
Parents must be responsible for children. Children must be kept under supervision at all times.
No strollers please, for the safety of your child.
The use of flexi-leads is not prohibited on show grounds. However, we urge you to use them
responsibly.

No gasoline or diesel generators inside any building or within 100 feet of any area in which this
dog show is conducted.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of
internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate
vaccinations.
These clubs do not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the official AKC entry
form for this event.

If you use an entry service (superintendent, online entry or fax service) other than the secretary
listed above, please be aware of their terms, additional charges and delivery policies. Entries are
processed in the order that they are received at the address of the Show Secretary listed above.
Entry Fees: $30 for the first entry of a dog, and each additional entry of the same dog is $24.
Puppy Classes: 6-9 & 9-12: $25.
Rally is $30 for the first entry and $24 for each additional entry of the same dog.
Junior Showmanship is free as an additional entry.
Puppy Sweepstakes are $25.
(Puppy Sweepstakes entry must also be entered in a regular class in the GPGRC Thursday AM show.)
Veteran Sweepstakes are $25.
(Veteran Sweepstakes entries need NOT be entered in the regular classes.)
4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition: $25.
Fax/Credit Card entries will be accepted up to the closing date and time. Official AKC entry forms must be
used and both sides must be transmitted. A cover sheet must include: Cardholder's name, address, city,
state and zip code, phone number and e-mail address, Credit Card Number, type (Visa , MasterCard or
Discover) and expiration date, a written signature on the cover letter authorizing payment of entry and fax
fees and the total number of pages including the cover sheet. The fax fee is $4.00 per dog. All entries using
a credit card, regardless of method of submission, will be processed through the fax/credit card system and
will be charged the fax fee. You may wish to call to confirm receipt of your fax, as proof of transmission is
not proof of receipt (Phone: 410-997-3698).

Refunds of $5 or less will not be issued due to the cost of processing. Postdated checks, returned checks or
declined credit cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30 collection
fee to the amount of each returned check.
Telegraph, telephone and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on an official AKC entry form and
photocopies of entry forms without agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry
form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Confirmation of entry will be sent via e-mail. Please provide a legible e-mail address.
Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Do not send entries requiring a signature upon delivery.
Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, or excused by the Judge or
Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. If because of riots, civil
disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the show giving club, it is impossible to open or
complete the show, no refunds will be made.
Conformation & Obedience: Each entry fee includes $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee, plus a $.50 AKC
Recording Fee for the 1st entry. Rally: Each first entry fee Includes $3.50 AKC Recording Fee. Each
additional entry fee includes $3.00 AKC Recording Fee. (There is no Recording Fee or Event Service
Fee for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog Classes or Special
Attractions.)
Fees are to be collected by the Show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. (AKC Rules Applying
to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2.)
No refund for duplicate entries. Owners are responsible for errors in entry forms, regardless of who may make
such errors. (AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 6.) No entry fee will be refunded
in event of such errors, or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. No entry fees shall be
made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance.
Show catalogs will be available for $5.00 each.

Camping Information: Overnight RV parking or camping at the Lawrence County Grounds in designated
spaces is by reservation and advance payment only. A limited number of RV spots are available, full hook-up
50 amp service close to the rings. Sites are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
The operation of diesel or gas generators in the RV area is limited to the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
NO ADMITTANCE BEFORE Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at NOON. RVs and campers must be off the grounds
by Friday, June 19th at 6:00 p.m.
Parking is strictly at the exhibitor’s risk as the Club accepts no responsibility for theft, damage or loss of personal property or the loss of or injury to animals in the care of the exhibitors at the show.
Preferred Grooming Spaces: Reserved grooming spaces will be on a first come, first served basis.
Grooming spaces are 8 x 10, under the pavilion with electric, next to ringside. 8 x 10 space - $25.00 for both
days. Space assignments will be provided upon arrival.
Picnic Dinner: Following Sweepstakes and Rally, a picnic will be held to socialize before getting ready for the
shows. Please join us for a relaxing evening of food, friends and beautiful dogs!!
Rally entries limited to 40 per event number on Wednesday,
15 total on Thursday/Friday.
If you use an entry service (superintendent, online entry
or fax service) other than the Show Secretary listed in the
premium, please be aware of their terms, additional
charges and delivery policies.

and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors,
governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any
provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties,
and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to
have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or
grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I
(we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.
(Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular
variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13
in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored,
white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and
Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of
Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but
whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to
a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3.
(Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided,
then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e.,
age division, color division, weight division.
4.
A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time the entries for a show closed. If a
registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which
entries closed after the date of the acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to
A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 11, Section 3).
5.
Mixed Breed Dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as “All-American Dog/Mixed
Breed.” Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
