1. Water Distribution Level 1-2 (3.0 CEU’s)
Monday April 13 – Friday April 17, 2015
This 4.5 day course combines the introductory and second level water distribution disciplines, providing the basic
knowledge and advanced appreciation of water distribution practices. It focuses on the practical aspects of construction,
operation and maintenance of water distribution systems. The course is followed by an EOCP examination for Water
Distribution Level I and II respectively.
The fee for this course is $995
The EOCP exam application and fees are separate and are to be done so through EOCP. Please ensure to have your exam
applications into EOCP no later than 3 weeks prior to the exam date. The application can be found at

2. Pressure Regulator Valve Training (0.6 CEU’s)

Section 1 – Design, Function and Operation
We will cover the basic functions of an automatic control valve and the 2 common pilots, pressure reducing and pressure
relief. Students will obtain an understanding of the design & principles of operation of the main valve & pressure reducing
and relief pilots. We will cover how these pilots are used to control the main valve when used alone or together & the key
components of the main valve & pilots.
Section 2 – Servicing Main Valve and Pilots
We will cover the general service requirements of a control valve & the 2 common pilots, pressure reducing and pressure
relief. Students will gain an understanding of disassembly, inspection, repair & reassembly of the main valves and pilots.
Small complete valves & pilots will be available for hands on disassembly/inspection & reassembly.
Early Bird Cost for this course is $250 for members/$275 non members if registered prior to Feb 28, 2015. After Feb 28th
cost is $275 members/$300 non members. Cost includes lunch, coffee breaks, and CEU form submission to EOCP.
3. Confined Space Awareness (0.6 CEU’s)
Friday April 17, 2015
This 1 day program is designed for small water utility operators and provides a review of confined space entry programs
& procedures as listed in the WCB Regulations and utilizes reservoir cleaning as our practice area, agenda items include:



Safety
Confined space: Regulations, Inventories, Entry permits, Atmospheric monitoring, Fall protection equipment,
Emergency procedures, Entry procedures, Work limitations
Reservoir cleaning: Work planning, Customer notification, Water Quality, Cleaning techniques and chlorine
calculations, System commissioning
Early Bird Cost for this course is $250 for members/$275 non members if registered prior to Feb 28, 2015. After Feb 28th
