This is a specially designed pan requiring a set amount of pressure before they will be set off (pan tensioning), plus they also reduce pan creep and pan wobble. They have a 2-fold benefit over standard pans. Firstly they reduce the number of non-target catches such as birds and lizards, plus they increase trap success of the target animal due to the higher pan tension (go off quickly without pan creep).
