Silicate Additive for Cummins Engines Only has been recommended by Cummins and Chevron (formerly
ChevronTexaco) for use in selected Cummins engines that have been factory filled with ChevronTexaco Delo® Extended
Life Coolant in North America. This silicate containing additive is not recommended for use in any engine manufactured
by other engine makers such as Volvo, Mack, Detroit Diesel or Caterpillar.
In Australia, Caltex recommends that this product be added to only the cooling system of selected Cummins engines
(N14, M11, ISM, ISX, Signature) factory filled with Chevron or Caltex Delo® Extended Life Coolant, or filled with Caltex
Delo® Extended Life Coolant after major maintenance which has disturbed the cooling system seals.
PRODUCT APPLICATION AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Silicate Additive for Cummins Engines Only is a silicate containing additive to be used only for treatment of selected
Cummins engines (N14, M11, ISM, ISX, Signature) that have been factory filled with Chevron or Caltex Delo® Extended
Life Coolant, or filled with Caltex Delo® Extended Life Coolant after major maintenance that has disturbed the cooling
system seals.
The purpose of adding this additive is to potentially improve the seal life of the coolant passage seals in selected
Cummins engines. This product is not recommended for use in any engines not built by Cummins.
Silicate Additive for Cummins Engines Only is available only in 236 mL containers and should be used based on cooling
system capacity. Please check your owner's manual for the cooling system capacity of the vehicle being treated.
How to apply

Allow engine to cool and open coolant overflow tank.
Add the recommended dose of Silicate Additive for Cummins Engines Only to the coolant overflow tank based
on the table below. Most U.S. Class 8 trucks have cooling systems that will require addition of one x 236 mL
can of this product.
