Highest packing density for evolving data centers
The CDR (Cable Distribution Rack) is a purpose-built high density fiber management rack which serves as a central cross-connect
in the main distribution area of data centers. With a footprint depth of only 300 mm, the CDR is fully modular and scalable up to
1620 ports (3240 fibers) using LC connectivity and 1080 ports (25 920 fibers) using MTP connectivity . Users can benefit from a
C-shaped construction where all internal sub-elements are completely installable and accessible from the front side. This important
feature means that CDRs can be placed back-to-back on a single floor tile or alternatively against an unused wall for minimal
space consumption.
Designed to match your data center
The CDR has been designed to match equipment cabinets in the datacenter and provide a seamless visual transition from passive
racks to active racks. The CDR’s perforated curved doors are the same design as those used on the HUBER+SUHNER equipment
cabinet range and the same quality look and feel is echoed across the complete portfolio.
Configured to suit your needs
The CDR is 47U high, 300 mm deep and comes in two standard width dimensions of 900 mm and 1200 mm. The 900 mm version
is designed for splicing and MTP-LC furcation trays and the 1200 mm version is intended for patching only, whether it be LC or
MTP cable systems.

900 mm wide
The 900 mm wide rack has integrated patch cord
management on the right hand side and can facilitate standard
fiber trays for pigtail splicing or MTP-LC furcation. Generally
the 900 mm wide rack is used for 1G and 10G serial
transmission where a standard LC connector interface is
required. The 900 mm wide cabinet is supplied as an empty
cabinet and then «tray units» can be installed on-site to accept
different types of «fiber trays» depending on the required
performance or connectivity type.
The tray unit can be fitted to the rack on-site and has a capacity
of 15 × patching trays. In a 47U high rack, a maximum of 6 ×
7U tray units can be fitted giving an overall capacity of 90 ×
fiber trays per rack. The tray unit can accommodate MTP or LC
patching trays as standard.

1200 mm wide
The CDR 1200 is designed as a dedicated «patching rack»
and is configured by adding a 300 mm wide cable over-length
rack to the left hand side of a standard 900 mm rack. The CDR
1200 is configured so that an equal amount of cable management is provided on both sides of the rack. The 1200 mm wide
rack is better suited for patching applications with standard
connectivity (patch cords or fan-outs) or 40G and 100G
applications where MTP connectivity is required.
The patching tray unit can be fitted to the rack on-site and
has a capacity of 15 × patching trays. In a 47U high rack, a
maximum of 6 × 7U tray units can be fitted giving an overall
capacity of 90 × patching trays per rack.The patching tray unit
can accommodate MTP or LC patching trays as standard.
