May 30 & 31, 2015 Facility: Mackenzie Recreation Center Friday May 29th 7:00pm -‐ 8:30pm Ø Stroke & Turn Clinic (Brian Gandy, Steve Rooke) 7:00pm -‐ 9:00pm Ø Registrar Clinic (Cheri & Chris Ruim) 7:00pm -‐ 8:30pm Swimmer events: Ø Dive –In Movie A movie will be shown in the pool, this will be free for all competitive swimmers and open to the Public Saturday May 30th 7:00am -‐ 8:00am Ø Warm ups 8:00am -‐ 12:00pm Ø Seeded finals 50 Free, 100 IM, 25m pups, 50 Fly (Div 1-‐4), 100 Fly (Div 5-‐8), Relays (club or regional) 12:00pm -‐ 1:00pm Ø Lunch 1:00pm -‐ 6:00pm Ø Swimmer Events (Coach's to lead in their teams) Ø Registrar workshops (Cheri & Chris Ruim) These workshops have the following goals: -‐ Standardizing the use of Hytek -‐ Ensuring databases are uniform -‐ Getting ready to close off winter maintenance -‐ Set up a new database for summer registration -‐ How to import/export data -‐ How to extract useful information -‐ How to save time using Hytek -‐ Online Registration info -‐ Team Manager training -‐ Succession Planning –getting more people trained Ø Executive Boot Camp (Danny Schilds) o Building Club Culture § Core values and beliefs, ethics considerations § Conflict resolution, managing conflict § Helpful practices § Levels of participation § Taking the temperature § Building Morale o Governance § Constitution, Society Act § Elections and succession § Management and leadership styles (micro managing, delegating and empowerment) § Club “politics” o Employer Rights and Responsibilities § Hiring practices (advertising, “best candidate for the job”, non-‐discrimination, interviews, reference checks, criminal record checks, record keeping) § Contracts (samples), why is it a “must have” § Establishing a positive working relationship § Ethical considerations § When things go wrong 6:00pm -‐ 7:00pm Ø Dinner Hosted by Rainbows Swim Club Ø Team Awards from afternoon team building events Sunday May 31st 8:00am – 9:00am Ø Warm ups 9:00am – 12:00pm Ø 50 Fly (Div 5-‐8), Breaststroke, 25M pups, Backstroke, 100 free, Relays 8:00am -‐ 12:00pm Ø Registrar Clinic (Cheri & Chris Ruim) 12:00pm -‐ 1:00pm Ø Lunch 1:00pm -‐ 1:30pm Ø Warm ups 1:30pm – 3:30pm Ø 50 Fly (Div 5-‐8), Breaststroke, 25M pups, Backstroke, 100 free, Relays 4:00pm -‐ Ø Awards Age Group Categories: As per BCSSA division breakdowns Awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded in each age group for overall points. Ribbons will be awarded up to 6th place following the meet for Division 1 to 4. It’s Pure and All Natural Please be advised that we will not be providing bottled water for our meet. We will be providing water stations throughout the Pool, so bring your re-‐fillable water bottles. RV camping is allowed behind the Rec Center, however there are no hook-‐ups, and definitely no resetting of breakers should some one surreptitiously connect to power and overload a circuit. Hello Swimmers and Families and Welcome to Mackenzie To help have a safe enjoyable meet and protect our community please observe the following RV parking rules: • Park in areas marked in green only, if these fill up we will assign overflow parking in the upper parking lot. • The roadways (marked in red) must be kept clear to allow fire truck access in case of emergency, this includes the road into the John Dahl park (lower right). • Open fires are strictly prohibited, the fire risk is extreme.
