Program Rates
• $325 per week (siblings $250)
• $1,500 for 6 weeks (siblings $1,150)
• $1,800 for 7 weeks (siblings $1,375)
All entry fees for Learning Excursions are included in camp rates.

Lunch Rates
Order lunch in advance from Overflow at $5/day per camper.
Overflow will invoice separately for lunches.

Invoice and Payment
Daystar Center will send you an invoice for the Camp
Registration fees. Full payment is due June 15, 2015.

Summer in Chicago
A fun summer experience for girls and boys!
Girls and boys entering grades 1-8 are sure to enjoy this handson and explorative camp experience. Each week, campers will
experience exciting new themes and have an opportunity to
explore our city through weekly learning excursions.
Each day, campers will have information gathering sessions,
hands-on collaboration opportunities, physical activity, including
group sports, free play time, and quiet reading time. Weather
permitting, campers will be outside as much as possible.
Daystar Summer Camp will be led by caring, nurturing, and
supportive Daystar School teachers and After School Care
workers.
Camp Details
Grades. The camp is open to students entering 1st thru 8th grades.
With enough registrations, campers will be grouped 1-3 and 4-8.
Hours. 8:00am to 5:00pm. Pick up is by 5:00pm. No after care.
Days. Monday - Friday. June 27 through August 14. Campers may
be enrolled in one-week increments.

Learning Excursions. A calendar of trips and activities will be
published by June 15. Major trips will take place weekly on
Thursdays. In case of exigent circumstances, they will be moved to
Friday of the same week, when possible.

Camp Coordinator. Dave Metz, Director of Student Life at
Daystar School, will lead a team of Daystar teachers and After
School Care workers to facilitate fun and learning for the campers.

Camp Administrator. Amanda Neely, Director of Daystar Center
will work with parents to answer questions and handle all logistics.
What to Bring
• Water Bottle. Provide a water bottle filled with fresh water.
•Snack. Pack a nutritious morning snack for your child. No
nuts.
• Lunch. Either pack a lunch or order a boxed lunch from
Overflow (see registration form).
• Running Shoes. Daily physical activity is planned.
• Extra Set of Clothes. Water activities and sweaty conditions
might warrant a change of clothes. There will be a notice sent
home with campers when swimming apparel and equipment
are needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the drop off / pick up location? From State Street.
There is a 15-minute flasher zone in front of Overflow Coffee Bar.
Can I sign up for just a few days a week or for half days? This
is not a program option but you are welcome to pick up your child
as needed.
Can non-Daystar School students attend? Absolutely.
Does camper have asthma? Yes No
(If yes, child must carry a rescue inhaler.)
