and carries a massive price premium of nearly 25 per cent over Utopia DV.
Boadicea competes in terms of length, but is €20m more, five years older and
styled from an older decade.
Another Amels, 64.5 metre Shanti, has long flowing lines and a Disdale interior,
but she has less volume, less length and a €20m premium.
Fortunato, Rasselas and Secret all have the hallmark of Feadship quality, but can not
improve (or really compete) with the Utopia DV package for reasons of size, volume or
price and, in the case of Secret – all three. She is a fine yacht, but highly priced at €75m.
So, the conclusion is that Utopia DV is in utopia for the simple reason that, however
you look at the comparisons, this outstanding yacht comes out in first place. Realistically,
over 60 metres, she has no competition.

The Benetti duo have little in common with each other. Meamina has a different
layout priority to Paraffin. Classic contemporary style, lots of features, large deck
space. Good yacht but not a Feadship. Silver Angel is very interesting but has typical
Benetti exterior styling and a radically exotic interior. You will either love it or hate it!
Unsurprisingly, considering her age and specification, she has a premium of over €18m.
Paraffin wins the Feadship comparison and Feadship versus Benetti is an
unequal contest.

But this is a tough league with some excellent yachts.
56 metre Allegro and 52 metre Latinou are two of the best of their series and
have elegant Italian-styled interiors. The typical Benetti 50 metre layout is refined and
works well throughout the yacht. Latinou has six double cabins.

Man of Steel, as the name implies, is a first for Heesen. And a fine yacht she is too.
With a lot of features and an elegant, contemporary interior, she is one of the shipyard’s
finest for some time.
High Chaparral, has the eternal advantage of being built at Feadship. Very highly
regarded, she has good looks, a good layout and is in fine condition. Her age (2004)

ITALIAN ARISTOCRATIC LINES WITH GERMAN INTERIOR REFIT.
During these challenging times, this is the price and size sector that has been selling
consistently. And in this league, Edmiston is putting the most expensive yacht in top
position. Why?
In this sector, while the builder will always be important, the condition of the yacht
is paramount. Maro has been fastidiously maintained and is in excellent condition.
Most of the yachts are of the similar vintage (built 1988, refitted 2006) and what
stands out by some way is the timelessness of style and personality. In this case,

Maro was much admired when named Toi et Moi and she has since undergone a
comprehensive refit, including a new interior by German maestros Metrica. Repainted,
mechanically and electronically upgraded, the yacht has classic Italian elegance.
You can buy a yacht. With Maro, you buy a reputation.

Vanquish is attractive, fast and has huge space inside and out. But, again, pricey.
Be Cool2 has a great deal in her favour: so many features (including a sunken,

STREAMLINE
that represent every niche of the mid-size, modern, motoryacht market.
At 49.9 metres, Lady Ann Magee just fits in to our 40 metre fleet. She has the
typical Codecasa qualities that have made her such a success in the charter market.
Her large yacht layout includes a bright skylounge, an extended main saloon, six
double cabins including a full-beam main deck owner’s suite. She is keenly priced
and delivers good value. With a new yacht arriving the owner is keen to sell.
Candyscape has the kudos of being the only yacht with a Candy & Candy interior.
The use of exotic materials, wild ideas and eclectic style should carry Candyscape
to a price premium. Instead, she is less expensive than all of her competition. With a
recent price reduction to €9.95m, Candyscape is good value.
Streamline, from Mondomarine, has a flowing aluminium superstructure, a very
full specification, including Vosper zero-speed stabilisers, great deck space and a
lot of unusual features, such as a Japanese dip pool. Interior design is by the
highly rated Frédéric Méchiche and adds some highly distinctive Paris glamour.
Other similar Mondomarines are on the market but Streamline is undoubtedly the
best by some way.
Ti Voglio Tanto Bene was built at ISA, a shipyard that has established a good
reputation in the past few years. This yacht is all about space and flexibility. The
interior can be configured to suit the guests, a garage keeps the decks uncluttered
and split-level exterior provides plenty of options for entertaining. Keenly priced to
sell, Ti Voglio is a very competitive proposition.
The Edmiston 40 metre fleet covers almost every possibility of style, construction,
performance and price. Contact our Monte Carlo office for a fact file on each yacht.

WALLYPOWER 118 Wallypower is the most radical yacht of recent years. Radical
GRAZIA
but practical – at 60 knots she has a surprising range of 500 miles (1,800 miles at
12 knots) and slices through all seas with utter ease.
Relax on white linen sofas and gaze through 360º windows. Bulwarks fold down
to give infinity views and create mini balconies. Outside space is like a sophisticated
beach club and there is room to entertain 50 people in comfort.
Wallypower’s interior is beautifully designed minimalism. The master suite
receives natural daylight through twin side atriums. Glass, steel, leather, linen – the
yacht is furnished in a highly contemporary style.
Nothing really compares to Wallypower. She surprises, astonishes and exhilarates
everyone she meets. Make an offer to own this stunning extrovert.

FRIDAY The finest Leopard 31 on the market, Friday is
a dramatic sportster with 40 knot performance. The
only Leopard with a black hull, her entire design has
been radically styled in chic black and white. Black
tinted windows, black sun beds and a white marble

The interior has a white theme with sofas, blinds,
panelling and carpets, all meticulously co-ordinated.
Nine guests sleep in a master, two doubles and one
twin with a Pullman berth. In a market where there are many
similar yachts, Friday has huge style and is commercially registered.
