Shri Soumitra Bhattacharya Soumitra Bhattacharya’s career spans 31 years of professional experience in the Corporate World consisting of areas of System, Materials, Finance, Accounts and entire Commercial functions including HR, Legal, Tax, etc., He is a CA by profession from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completed his Articleship from Price Waterhouse. Soumitra Bhattacharya is a Member of the Bosch Board in India as the Joint Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for commercial functions of the company, Bosch Limited, India, which is the largest automotive Component Company in India with its presence in industrial technology & consumer goods technology. He is an Executive Committee Member of ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India). He is also the past Chairman (2013-2014) for the Karnataka State Council for CII in India (Confederation of Indian Industry) and currently a Member of CII Southern Region Council. During his past assignments, he served as Commercial Director of Robert Bosch Turkey (RBTR). Before his assignment in Turkey he served as Vice President responsible for the Commercial functions at Bosch for Nashik & Jaipur Plants in India & was also in-charge of Corporate Planning & Controlling for Bosch Ltd., During 1998-99, he worked in Stuttgart, Germany, on deputation to Robert Bosch GmbH as General Manager at the Feuerbach Plant. Prior to Bosch Ltd., he served in various management positions at INDAL and Titan Limited., in India covering Marketing, Manufacturing, Systems, Commercial & Purchasing functions. He has travelled across the globe and has given talks/lectures to different companies in India & Europe on Economics & Asia (Focused on India), Intercultural topics & on Business Excellence at well known prestigious Management Institutions. He is married to Dr.(Mrs.)Chandana Bhattacharya and has two children (Aditya currently working and Ayesha pursuing her studies). His interests includes travelling, sports, photography & social service.
