Tourism Moree eNewsletter: May 2015 From the CEO… WOW!! It’s already time for the May eNewsletter… 2015 is flying!! The team at Tourism Moree have been busy in April from fielding important enquiries, directing valuable traffic and answering phone calls in Moree to representing the Moree Plains and our Region at the Sydney Trade Show and answering enquiries in the visitors’ own backyard. Our team were also extremely proud to represent Moree Plains, North West NSW and New South Wales, as a whole, at the 2014 Australian Tourism Awards that were held in Adelaide, during April. In 2014, our team were announced finalists for the Australian Tourism Awards after taking out the NSW Tourism Awards - for the 3rd year in a row – entering the prestigious NSW Tourism Hall of Fame!! It was a humbling experience to receive recognition by being a finalist at this level. We extend a huge Congratulations to Frankston Visitor Information Centre, Victoria, who have claimed Gold in this National Category for 3 years in a row and is now in the Hall of Fame – Well Done! May is an exciting time in our Shire, with many wonderful events and activities on offer to our local community and visitors. From tantalizing your taste buds at Moree On A Plate Food & Wine Festival to saddling up for the Moree Picnic Races...We encourage everyone to get involved and attend these community events. Your support in attending and enjoying these activities ensures the sustainability and positive growth of our community.
