702 WALK THE TALK INVITATION TO DONATE TO DEMENTIA JOIN “TEAM SA DEMENTIA SA” This year DementiaSA would like to invite anyone who is able to identify with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, to walk in honour of the enormous challenges faced by people, families and communities in tackling this disease. “Don’t let failing memory be the ELEPHANT In the room” Populations are ageing and age is one of the greatest risk factors in developing a Dementia. Every 4 seconds someone in the developed world will be diagnosed with a dementia. 60% of people with dementia live in low - and middle income countries. We are meeting more people today that are diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
