Mealey, D.D.S., M.S., Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Mealey served 21 years in the United States Air Force where he was Chair of the Department of Periodontics and Program Director of the Air Force Periodontics Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and served many years as Director of the Board. Dr. Mealey is co-editor and author of two textbooks and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles focused on periodontal medicine.
