DESERT VISTA HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER ACADEMIES 2015 ARTS MATH MATH NON-HIGH SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH & DEBATE CREATING HIGH SCHOOL SUCCESS Purpose: 4th through 10th graders who want to get into honors, remediate skills, or just preview the next class. We offer Algebra 1-2, Honors Geometry and now, Algebra 3-4. Students may receive credit for these classes, but it is not a requirement. Purpose: Incoming 6th11th grade students will receive instruction from nationally ranked coaches and competitors in speech and debate. All students will perform at the 3 and 6-week marks. Purpose: To prepare incoming 9th – 12th grade students to experience greater academic success through the further understanding of goal setting/planning, time management, study strategies, campus resources, success habits, learning strengths, and self-reflection.
