In celebration of our 70th Anniversary, on Saturday and Sunday the club will
provide a complimentary lunch for workers and exhibitors (with reservations).
Bottled water will be available to go with your lunch.
There are other places nearby where fast food can be purchased within a
short drive from the training building if you prefer that instead.

From the North
Go South on I-35E through downtown Dallas. Stay right when it splits at Hwy 67 in Oak Cliff, so
that you are going South on Hwy. 67. Pass I-20 and exit at Cockrell Hill Road (near Jack in the
Box). Continue South on the service road. Turn right on Alexander, then right on Crestside.
From the South
Proceed North on Hwy. 67 to Cockrell Hill Road. Exit Cockrell Hill Road and turn left back over
the highway. Turn left again so that you are on the South-bound service road. Turn right on
Alexander, then right on Crestside.
From the East or West
Take I-20 from the East or West to Hwy. 67 in Duncanville. Go South on Hwy. 67. Cockrell Hill
Road will be the first exit. Exit Cockrell Hill Road and continue South on the service road. Turn
right on Alexander, and right on Crestside.
**From the South-Bound Service Road
Turn right on the second street which is Alexander. There are only two streets that turn to the
right. Pass the first one and then GO VERY SLOWLY. The second turn is at the end of a small
strip shopping center. (There are some small trees which make it hard to see the street until you
are upon it.) Turn right on Alexander and STAY RIGHT when it splits. (It curves to the right.) At
the split, the street to the right will be Crestside. The dog club has a tall chain link fence. It is
white cement block with black paw prints painted on the single story building set back on the lot.

HOTEL THAT ACCEPTS SMALL DOGS
Please be good guests at this hotel. Clean up after your dogs, cover hotel bedding & furniture, put
plastic under your crates, don’t leave barking dogs in the room, etc. The Dallas Fort Worth
Dachshund Club reserves the right to have event committee jurisdiction over the hotel listed.

We welcome the public to come view our obedience and rally
event. We ask that you do not bring unentered dogs regardless
of age due to the space available at this location. You will have a
better viewing experience if you just come to watch and learn
from our exhibitors. Club members will be available to answer
your questions and give you information.
The parking lot at the dog training club is not large and there is a chain link double
gate at the front entrance. It may be difficult to park several RVs in this lot during the
day. We might be able to make arrangements for parking at neighboring businesses.
There is no overnight RV PARKING on the show grounds. Please let us
know if you are coming in an RV.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS
The show site will be available to exhibitors one hour prior to the scheduled
judging start on June 20 & 21, 2015. The show committee will have access
as needed. All dogs must be removed from the show site by one hour after
the end of the trial on Sunday, June 21, 2015. The building will NOT be
available on Friday.
This is a small building that only has ONE RING. There is limited
seating & crating area. If your dogs tend to bark in their crates, please
bring something to cover them. The Show Committee reserves the
right to ask exhibitors to move their dogs if they are distracting to the
dogs and exhibitors in the ring.
Please plan to stack your crates. NO DOGS LEFT IN THE BUILDING
OVERNIGHT.
Do NOT bring oversized chairs or large reclining lawn chairs. The
building has metal chairs available. Exhibitors must have rubber or
plastic protectors on the bottom legs of any metal-legged chairs and
protection under metal crates.
Potty area is in back of the building. PLEASE be sure to clean up after
yourselves and your dogs! There are trash cans & scoopers available. No
ex-pens allowed inside the building.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
ALL DOGS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CERTIFICATE & TAGS
SHOWING PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATION.
Neither the Dallas-Fort Worth Dachshund Club or The Dog Training Club of
Dallas County, will be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog
exhibited, or for possessions of any exhibitor, whether the result of an
accident or any other cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this
show is in the care and custody of its owner or handler during the entire time
the dog is in the show buildings or on the grounds.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The welfare of an
exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Exercise pens are allowed on the parking lot. There is some grass, but not

Rally Trial and two Obedience Trials on Saturday. Two Rally Trials and one
Obedience Trial on Sunday. Please calculate your entry fees accordingly.

A refund will be issued for females that come in season. You must notify the trial

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In
consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win
prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to
hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event,
harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by
the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all
responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for
loss, injury or damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties

1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety
you are entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in, over 13 in. but not
exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard,
toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English toy spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles
(toy, miniature, standard), Collies (rough, smooth).
2. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then,
in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. A or B
division.
3. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog
has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the
date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is
recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC. (For complete rule refer to
Chapter 11, Section 3).

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In
consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win
prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to
hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event,
harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by
the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all
responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for
loss, injury or damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties
harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the
aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any
