The TDI SKID PLATE will protect your TDI’s delicate aluminum oil
pan from road debris, rocks, and other road hazards. We have put
together this installation manual to serve as a guide for the
installation of our product. If you are not qualified to safely install
this product onto your vehicle, please don’t.

INSTALLATION
Remove the Accessory Belt
use a 16mm combination wrench to de-tension the belt
Loosen the AC Compressor bolts
use a 16mm ratchet to loosen both bolts
Remove the rear bolt only so the compressor can swing
Gently pry the compressor away from the engine block
Remove the engine-side Rear Engine-Support-to-frame bolt
**Don’t worry, the engine will NOT fall**
Position the skid plate on the engine
Using the supplied bolts, hand-tighten the upper two 16mm
bolts to the engine block but DO NOT tighten yet
Using the supplied bolts AND SPACER, hand tighten the rear
stabilizer bolt
Tighten all skid plate bolts
Reposition ac compressor and install the rear compressor bolt
Tighten compressor bolts
Reinstall accessory belt

product requires that the
undercarriage of the vehicle
is accessible. The vehicle
should be properly placed on
jack stands
with the rear wheels
chocked.

INSPECTION
Upon completion of this installation, check to ensure
there are no clearance issues between the engine’s oil pan
and the skid plate.
