Choose from a variety of stateroom options
Whatever your preference and budget, you’ll find the perfect stateroom on your Princess Cruises® ship. Ranging from
spacious suites to comfortable interiors, here’s an overview of the stateroom options available.
Suite with balcony
Oceanview double
Surrounding you with luxurious
accommodations, a spacious
suite with balcony includes all
the amenities of a mini-suite,
plus incredible premiums. These
include luxury balcony furniture,
deluxe canapés, fresh flowers,
DVD/CD player, free access to a DVD library, two flat-panel
TVs, one complimentary mini-bar setup, upgraded bathroom
amenities, laundry and professional cleaning services, and
web access in the Internet Café. Approximately 42 to 86 square
metres, including balcony. Family suites that sleep up to eight
passengers are available on select ships.
Our oceanview stateroom includes
all the amenities of an interior double,
plus it features a picture window,
providing added ambience and
memorable views. Approximately 13
to 19 square metres. Deluxe Oceanview, a larger version of the
Oceanview double is also available on select ships.
Interior double
A mini-suite with balcony
is substantially larger
than a balcony stateroom.
It includes all the amenities
of a balcony stateroom and these added luxuries: welcome glass
of champagne, separate sitting area, sofa bed, luxury mattress
and pillows, two flat-panel TVs, a spacious closet, desk, bathroom
tub and massage shower head. Approximately 30 square metres,
including balcony.
This impressive stateroom offers
the elegance of a balcony with fine
patio furniture. Other amenities
include a spacious closet, desk
and a bathroom with shower.
Approximately 19 to 25 square
metres, including balcony.
New
Our interior stateroom is a great
value. It features two twin beds
that make up into a queen-size bed.
Other amenities include a refrigerator,
hair dryer, TV, closet and bathroom
with shower. Approximately 15
square metres.
Note: Floor plans, amenities and stateroom diagrams represent typical arrangements and
may vary by ship. Certain stateroom categories may vary in size and configuration by ship.
Square metres varies based on stateroom category and deck location. Stateroom views are
considered unobstructed unless noted otherwise. Obstructions do not include certain
nautical items like handrails, dividers or ship hardware. For balcony staterooms, the view is
determined from the perspective of the balcony railing. Balconies may have either solid
steel or glass railings. Upper berth and bed ladder capacities are 113kg. Staterooms that
can accommodate rollaways have two lower berths, one upper berth and can
accommodate a fourth berth as a rollaway bed upon request at time of reservation. There are
a limited number of rollaway beds per ship, per voyage. Use of rollaway beds restricts cabin
space. Visit princess.com for more information.

How to book & pay
We want to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable cruise holiday.
You must advise us at the time of booking if you have any condition

Tips for your trip
First things first
When should I book?
You should book your cruise holiday as soon as you can. This will
ensure that you have the greatest choice available, as holiday
periods can be very popular and sell out early. Keep this in mind,
book early and get ready to escape completely®.
Things to know before you go
Where can I find out more about my cruise holiday?
Once you have made your booking, you can log on to ‘Cruise
Personaliser’ on our website to view your cruise details, including
your stateroom, itinerary, pre/post cruise arrangements and
dining options. You can also pre-book shore excursions, spa
treatments, special occasion packages and more from 120 days
prior to sailing.
Do I need travel insurance?
Australian Medicare, New Zealand ACC and private health
insurance will not cover you for any medical costs onboard. All
cruises (even cruises that do not visit foreign ports) require
international travel insurance. We strongly recommend that you
organise your travel insurance at the time you pay your deposit.
You should not base your insurance decision on the assumption
‘it won’t happen to me’ – accidents or illness can happen to
anyone. Hospital bills can cost more than AUD5000, or equivalent,
per day. For further information or to purchase travel insurance:
• Australian passengers - please contact your Travel Agent or call
1300 653 852.
• New Zealand passengers - please contact your Travel Agent.
Where can I find more information about passports, visas
and vaccinations?
Passports
Australian citizens, visit www.passports.gov.au
New Zealand citizens, visit www.passports.govt.nz
For citizens of other countries, please contact your relevant
national authority.
Visas
Please contact your Travel Agent, relevant consulate or embassy,
or an online visa service for more information.
Vaccinations
Please contact your doctor or an approved public health travel
advisory service such as World Health Organisation
(www.who.org), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or
Smart Traveller (www.smartraveller.gov.au).
What is the latest time I can check-in for my cruise?
Check-in closes one (1) hour prior to your cruise’s scheduled
departure time as displayed on your ticket. Checking-in after this
time will cause you to miss your cruise and no refunds will be given.
If I am booking my own flights, what arrival and
departure times do you recommend?
For Sun Princess®, Dawn Princess® and Sea Princess®
departures from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Fremantle,
please ensure your domestic flight arrives no later than three (3)
hours before your cruise departs; or for international, no later
than four (4) hours before your cruise departs. If you are flying
home from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne on the day you leave
the cruise, please ensure your flight departs no earlier than four
(4) hours for domestic, or five (5) hours for international after
your ship arrives in port. For Fremantle, please ensure your flight
departs no earlier than five (5) hours for domestic and six (6)
hours for international after your cruise arrives in port.
For all other Princess Cruises’® departures, including sectors of
the World Cruise, please contact your Travel Agent or our
Cruise Contact Centre for the most suitable arrangements for
your itinerary.
When you are making your own flight bookings, missed
connections are always a possibility, so the more time you allow
for unforseen delays at either end of your cruise, the better.
If you do need to make changes to your own flight bookings,
your chosen airline may charge fees; so check their airfare
conditions when you book.
I have flights booked through Princess Cruises ®, can I
check-in online?
No, since you are not issued with an individual flight reference
number, you are unable to check-in online.
I take medication; do I need to let you know?
Yes, if you have a medical condition or take medication it must
be advised at time of booking. We will send you a health
questionnaire to complete so we have all necessary information.
We want you to be safe and comfortable on your cruise, so bring
enough medication to last you until the end of your holiday. It is
also a good idea to bring a few extra days supply in case of any
unforeseen delays.
Can I bring my medical equipment to use onboard?
In most cases, yes. To ensure your medical equipment will work
onboard, please advise your Travel Agent or our Cruise Contact
Centre at the time of booking. We will then send you an
information sheet to complete. For safety reasons, your
equipment will need to be checked prior to boarding.
When am I going to get my cruise documentation?
Princess Cruises® operates a paperless documentation program
that promotes environmental sustainability and ensures
passengers receive up-to-date information in a timely manner.
This program begins once you have paid your deposit and
consists of a series of information emails including a
downloadable travel summary.
For your convenience, you can also view copies of the
information emails as they become available via ‘Cruise
Personaliser’.
Once you have provided all your personal details via ‘Cruise
Personaliser’, and paid for your booking in full, you can download
your boarding pass and luggage labels online as early as 75
days before you set sail.
How do I find out what shore excursions are available,
and how can I book them?
General shore excursion information is available in the Shore
Excursions section of our website. You can view prices and prebook excursions for your cruise from 120 days until seven days
before sailing via ‘Cruise Personaliser’. As numbers are limited,
we recommend you book early. You can also book at the Shore
Excursions desk once onboard.
I have limited mobility; can I go ashore in all ports?
It is important to note that access to tender ports may be
restricted, which may also limit your excursion options. Do not
worry if you cannot go ashore, a range of activities are
available onboard!
Can I organise gifts or celebrations before sailing?
We can help you celebrate your honeymoon, birthday or
anniversary onboard with one of our special occasion packages.
You can also arrange a gift such as a bottle of wine or flowers for
a friend, loved one or even yourself, up until five (5) days prior to
departure. For information on these packages, search ‘Special
Occasions’ on our website.
Can I get married or renew my vows onboard?
Yes, let Princess Cruises® help you create memories to last a
lifetime. We offer a wide variety of special packages for weddings
and vow renewals. Visit our website for more information or to
download a brochure.
How much luggage can I bring?
We recommend no more than two (2) bags per person. Each
bag can be no bigger than 140cm x 60cm x 40cm and cannot
weigh more than 32kg. It is important to remember that airlines
may have different luggage restrictions.
Can my friends and family see me off?
Family and friends are welcome to share in your excitement and
wave farewell from the cruise terminal. Due to security reasons,
they will be unable to come onboard with you.
Welcome aboard!
What’s included in my cruise fare?
Your comprehensive cruise fare includes onboard
accommodation, ocean transportation, all main meals onboard,
some non-alcoholic beverages and most entertainment.
Excluded are meals at some alternate dining venues, meals on
hosted land tours unless noted otherwise, transfers and items of
a personal nature such as, but not limited to, spa services, shore
excursions, beverages and some snacks, photographs, gratuities,
discretionary hotel and dining charges and medical services.
Other services may be available at the time you sail, as we are
constantly striving to enhance our product.
What do I wear onboard?
During the day, casual clothes are suitable. After 5.30pm, smart
casual attire is required in the public lounges and restaurants or
as published in the ship’s newsletter. On formal evenings, we
suggest gentlemen wear a suit, or jacket and tie, and for ladies
an evening or cocktail dress.
How many formal/theme nights will there be?
Cruises up to 14 nights duration usually feature two or three
formal nights, cruises up to 28 nights duration usually feature
three (3) or four (4) formal nights, while longer cruises feature a
minimum of five (5) formal nights. Please refer to your ‘Cruise
Personaliser’ for specific information on your cruise.
In addition, Sun Princess® and Dawn Princess® usually feature
theme nights on cruises seven (7) nights or more. There are also
theme nights on Sea Princess® cruises seven (7) nights or more,
departing from and returning to Australia. These theme nights
may vary from cruise to cruise. Themed accessories may be
purchased onboard. You will be notified of the themes once
onboard through the ship’s newsletter.
What is the currency onboard?
All prices onboard Sun Princess®, Dawn Princess® and Sea
Princess® cruises departing from and returning to Australia are in
Australian Dollars. Prices onboard all other Princess Cruises’®
departures are in US Dollars.
How do I pay onboard?
At embarkation, you will receive your personal ‘Cruise Card’,
which will also be your security pass and door key. Yet another
convenience of sailing with Princess Cruises® is being able to
simply present your ‘Cruise Card’ and sign for all purchases. An
itemised onboard account will be delivered to your stateroom at
the end of your cruise.
We recommend that you pre-register your credit or debit card
details online with ‘Cruise Personaliser’ or at embarkation for an
express check-out. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and
AMEX. Debit cards act as a credit card, whilst using the available
funds in your bank account. When using credit or debit cards, we
obtain pre-authorisations and some banks hold these for up to
30 days. This may appear as a double charge to your credit or
debit card until your bank releases the hold.
If you do not have a credit or debit card, you can activate your
onboard account with cash or traveller’s cheques, by paying a
minimum deposit of AUD300 per person on Sun Princess®, Dawn
Princess® and Sea Princess® cruises departing and returning to
Australia or USD300 per person (CAD, GBP and EUR currencies
are also accepted) on all other Princess Cruises’® departures.
Pre-paid credit cards and Travelex Visa cash passports are not
accepted onboard.
For all round world cruises, shipboard accounts being settled by
credit or debit card, will be settled in full and charged to the
nominated card at the end of each published sector. We
recommend you make arrangements with your card provider
prior to the cruise to settle your personal card accounts whilst
you are away.
Do you have ATMs onboard?
Yes, ATM facilities are available onboard all our ships.
Can I do my laundry onboard?
Our ships provide laundromats for self service washing and
ironing. Laundry services are also available. Charges apply for
these services.
Are there safety deposit boxes?
Yes, there are safety deposit boxes located in every stateroom.
Are there queen beds available?
Most staterooms can have queen beds, as long as the upper
beds are not in use.
What type of electrical sockets are onboard?
Sun Princess®, Dawn Princess® and Sea Princess® cruises
departing from and returning to Australia feature standard
Australian plugs providing 220 volts AC at 60 hertz. All other
Princess Cruises’® ships feature American two-point plugs
providing 110 volts AC at 60 hertz.
For safety reasons, we ask passengers not to use their own
electrical appliances onboard, except electric shavers and
approved medical equipment.
Should I bring my hairdryer?
Why take up extra space in your luggage, when we have a
hairdryer in every stateroom.
Is there duty-free shopping onboard?
Yes, we offer incredible tax and duty free savings off suggested
retail prices on fragrances, cosmetics, jewellery, gifts, apparel,
accessories and liquor.
Is there a doctor onboard?
Yes, please refer to the ‘Your Health’ section in our ‘Terms &
Conditions’.
What should I do if I suffer from motion sickness?
You can consult a healthcare professional prior to boarding, and
prepare by purchasing medication or special magnetic wrist
bands before you leave home. Motion sickness can also be
treated onboard; medication is usually available for purchase and
treatment can be provided by the ship’s doctor.
Any charges from the onboard medical centre will be added to
your ‘Cruise Card’ and you will be provided with an itemised
account to submit to your travel insurance company.
How do I keep in touch with home?
You can make calls from the phone in your stateroom, or use the
ship’s computers/wireless connections to keep in touch by email
and internet. Please note, access is subject to satellite coverage
and charges are higher than on land.
Can I use my mobile phone?
Mobile phone reception is available onboard all of our ships.
A compatible mobile phone and a service plan capable of
roaming internationally with Maritime Communications Partners
(AS) is required. Make sure you check with your service provider
for applicable charges before you depart.
How do I make arrangements for dining room seating
and special dietary needs?
Seating arrangements in the dining room are made by request
on a first come, first served basis. Requests for Anytime DiningSM,
traditional first or second seating, special diets or seating with a
specific party should be made at the time of booking. Please
note, Anytime DiningSM is not available on Sun Princess®, Dawn
Princess®, Ocean Princess®, Pacific Princess®, or Sea Princess®
cruises departing from and returning to Australia.
What is the discretionary Hotel and Dining charge
(tipping)?
During your cruise, you will meet many members of our staff in a
variety of locations as they provide you with impeccable service.
Tipping is not required or charged to your onboard account for
Sun Princess®, Dawn Princess® or Sea Princess® cruises
departing from and returning to Australia. You are welcome to
reward our onboard crew for exceptional service, however,

areas will be communicated to you onboard.
Other bits and pieces
we are unable to discuss any aspect of your booking with
anyone other than a representative of your travel agency. Please
contact your Travel Agent for specific details, requests or to
make changes to your booking.
When is GST payable?
GST is included in all Australian domestic voyage fares, flights,
transfers, hotel packages and for Australian domestic
shore tours.
Why is GST charged on certain voyages that visit an
international port?
GST is included in the fare paid for voyages which are
predominantly domestic in nature, specifically, any portion of the
voyage where the ship is in Australian waters (such as Round
Australia and Northern Australia Explorer cruises).
What if I do not embark on my cruise?
We would be sorry if you cannot make it. If you do not join us on
the cruise, no refunds will be given.
What else do I need to know?
The most important information is still to come. Please read our
‘Terms & Conditions’ which can be found on our website, then
you’re all set to escape completely®.
I have booked through a travel agency; can I still
contact you directly?
Your Travel Agent is the expert in arranging your holiday. While
we are happy to discuss general information about your cruise,

Please note, your travel agent and promotional fares may have different
cancellation and refund conditions. Please ensure you check these at
time of booking.
Changing your cruise holiday
If you choose to change your booking to a different cruise, or to a
different sector of a World Cruise, it will be considered as a cancellation
of your original booking. In this instance, our cancellation charges, as
per our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy, will apply.
Your fare
Your fare is determined by the fare type, the number of passengers in
your stateroom, its location on the ship, the amenities offered, port
charges, government taxes, and any applicable airfares including taxes
and fees, transfers and hotel accommodation.
Fare changes
Once booked, your fare is only subject to any increased taxes. You will
be notified of this before it is added to your fare or to your onboard
account.
Sometimes we will release promotional fares. These can be offered and
withdrawn at any time. If after booking you decide to change to one of
these promotional fares, you will need to cancel your existing booking
and our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy will apply.
Stateroom changes
When making a booking with a specific stateroom number, please
advise us or your Travel Agent if you do not want your stateroom
changed. This means that you will not be offered a complimentary
upgrade to a higher priced category, if one was to become available.
Please note that your stateroom can still be changed for operational
reasons, including when the number of people booked in the
stateroom is less than the number of beds in the stateroom.
In addition, when a booking is made and a specific stateroom number
is not selected (known as a ‘Guarantee’), the stateroom will be allocated
at our discretion in the category booked, or a higher priced category, at
a later date.
Fuel supplement
We may elect to impose a fuel supplement at any time, in which case
any additional fees will apply to new bookings only. The total price
quoted to you at the time of booking will be inclusive of any applicable
fuel supplement.

Terms & conditions
Booking changes
Once you have made your booking, please check your invoice, ‘Cruise
Personaliser’, or with your Travel Agent to ensure the details are correct.
Should you need to make changes to your booking (spelling
corrections or to replace a passenger*), no administration fees will
apply. Please note however, that additional fees charged by airlines for
any changes will be passed onto passengers.
*One original passenger from the booking must always remain in the
stateroom. If all original passengers cancel / are replaced, the booking
will be subject to applicable cancellation charges. If a cancelling
passenger was the only person that qualified the booking for a
promotional fare (eg. past passenger fare), additional and remaining
passengers will no longer be entitled to this promotional fare. The
booking will revert to a different fare and the remaining passengers will
need to pay the difference in cost, if any. Changes can only be made
up to 48 hours before departure.
Pregnancy
Passengers who are pregnant during their cruise are required to supply
a physicians ‘fit to travel’ note, including your estimated due date, prior
to embarkation. We are unable to accept any passengers who will have
entered their 24th week, or later, of pregnancy by the end of the cruise.
Minimum age to travel
Sun Princess®, Dawn Princess® and Sea Princess® cruises departing
and returning to Australia
To ensure there is suitable supervision, there needs to be at least one
passenger 18 years or older in each stateroom. However, to
accommodate families cruising together, children may occupy a
separate stateroom to their parent/legal guardian, providing one child is
16 years or over.
For cruises departing from an Australian port between 1 November and
7 January, any passenger under 19 years of age on the day they board
the cruise, must travel in the same stateroom as a responsible adult 19
years or older. In addition, from 8 January to 31 January, there is a limit
on the number of passengers under 19 years of age who can travel
unaccompanied. Once the limit is reached, a responsible adult 19 years
or older must travel in the same stateroom. We can advise you at the
time of booking whether the limit applies to your booking. The
responsible adult is accountable for passengers under 19 years of age
in their stateroom for the duration of the cruise, and the ‘Rights of the
Captain’ will be applied to anyone who displays disruptive behaviour.
All other Princess Cruises’® ships
To ensure there is suitable supervision, there needs to be at least one
passenger in each stateroom aged 21 years or older. In order to
accommodate families cruising together, children may occupy a
separate stateroom to their parent/legal guardian, providing one child is
aged 16 or over.
Children & Teenagers
Children love to cruise and Princess Cruises® welcomes them onboard.
Due to limited neo-natal facilities onboard and at the destinations we
visit, the following minimum ages apply:
Itinerary
Minimum age to travel
Alaska, Canada & New England,
Caribbean, Mexican Riviera,
6 months
Europe (excluding transatlantic
voyages) and Panama Canal
All other itineraries
12 months
In addition, infants aged between six (6) months and three (3) years
must remain with their parent/legal guardian at all times.
For the safety and enjoyment of all onboard, there are limits on the
number of children and teenagers that can be carried within different
age groups. The age of the passenger on the day they board the
cruise, is the age we use for the entire holiday. We can advise you at
the time of booking whether we are able to accept bookings for
children on the cruise you have chosen.
Parents/Legal Guardians are responsible for children and teenagers at
all times. If a child or teenager displays dangerous or disruptive
behaviour, the ‘Rights of the Captain’ will be applied to both parent/legal
guardian and child/teenager.
Children’s access to pools and spas may be restricted and adult
supervision is required.
Children Centres
Children less than three (3) years of age are welcome to use the
Children Centres’ facilities under the direct supervision of their
parent/legal guardian. To attend the Children Centres without a
parent/legal guardian, children need to be three (3) years of age or
over and toilet trained.
Use of the Children Centres requires daily registration and entry is on a
first-come-first-served basis as places are limited. On all ships, except
Pacific Princess® and Ocean Princess®, group child minding for
children three (3) to 12 years is available between 10pm and 1am only,
for a charge.
Requirements to travel
Passports, visas, vaccinations and other travel documentation are your
responsibility.
Without the necessary passport, visas and/or vaccinations local
authorities may deny you boarding, prevent you from going ashore,
issue a fine or deny the ship entry into the port. It is also your
responsibility to ensure you have all the necessary documentation
which permits you to travel. If you do not have all the necessary
documentation, you may be denied boarding and no refunds will
be given.
For international voyages (cruises that visit a foreign port), passports are
required for all passengers and must be valid for a minimum of six (6)
months beyond the date of the cruise return. In addition, travel on our
cruises will not revalidate an Australian or New Zealand re-entry visa.
For domestic voyages (cruises that do not visit a foreign port), a valid
passport or government issued photo identification is required
(Queensland ‘Adult Proof of Age Card’ will be accepted, however the
older version of Queensland ‘Card 18+’ will not be accepted). For
Australian domestic voyages, a current Medicare card can be used for
passengers under 18 years of age. For New Zealand domestic voyages,
an original or certified copy of the child’s birth certificate or a school
pass with photo will be accepted for passengers under 18 years of age.
Illicit items
To ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all our passengers, it will be
necessary for our staff and others parties, such as port and
government agencies, to search you and your luggage. You agree to
allow such searches. We can deny boarding or disembark any person
in possession of any weapons or illicit substances. You must contact us
within three days of disembarking to claim confiscated items which
may be returned to you if appropriate. If you do not contact us within
this time your item may be destroyed.
Alcohol & gambling
We are committed to the responsible service of alcohol. There may be
times when we consider it appropriate to refuse the service of alcohol
to a passenger for any reason. To consume alcohol or gamble
onboard, the following minimum ages and corkage charges apply:
Sun Princess® Sea Princess®
or Dawn
departing
Princess®

departures

All other

Cruises’®

Minimum age
Corkage (per

*Corkage charges only apply to wines and/or champagne
brought onboard and consumed in the dining room or
alternative restaurants.
Government issued photo identification may be requested (Queensland
‘Adult Proof of Age Card’ will be accepted, however the older version of
Queensland ‘Card 18+’ will not be accepted).
On the day of embarkation, passengers over the minimum age may
bring onboard one bottle of wine or champagne per person to
celebrate (no larger than 750ml). Consumption of personal wine or
champagne is limited to your stateroom. Any other alcohol purchased
ashore will be collected at the gangway for safe keeping and will be
returned to you on the last day of your cruise.
Your health
We care about the health and safety of our passengers. To assist,
please advise us at the time of booking if you have any condition that
requires medical attention, medication or special treatment. If you have a
medical condition, we may ask you to complete a health questionnaire.
If a passenger has a condition that we decide may seriously affect the
enjoyment, health or safety of themselves or any other person onboard,
we can refuse or cancel a booking, where necessary. We will give
reasonable consideration when reaching this decision and will advise
you as soon as possible. As long as you have provided us with a
completed health questionnaire with all relevant information about the
condition, you will be entitled to a full refund if we cancel your booking
on the basis of this condition.
Passengers that need assistance should always be accompanied by a
carer to help with day to day activities as our crew and medical staff
are unable to act as personal carers.
Onboard medical centre
The Princess Cruises’® medical centres are staffed by fully registered
and licensed doctors and nurses who are available 24 hours a day in
case of an emergency. Our facilities are well equipped to deal with both
minor injuries and most major medical conditions. Please note, our
facilities are only for medical needs arising onboard and cannot cater
for treatments that you know you will require while on holiday.
All Princess Cruises’® medical facilities proudly hold the distinction of
being the only medical services in the cruise industry to have been
awarded accreditation to international healthcare standards as well as
certification to ISO 9001:2008. Our Medical Centres also meet or exceed
the cruise ship medical standards established by the American College
of Emergency Physicians.
We are not a healthcare provider and may not be held liable for the
sickness, injury or death of any passenger arising from any advice,
treatment, care, services or any omission by medical staff. These
medical providers exercise their own medical judgement and expertise.
Onboard medical charges
All cruises on our ships are outside the scope of Australian Medicare,
New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and private
health insurance. Consultations, treatments and medications are
charged at private rates and must be paid by you and claimed through
your travel insurance.
Other service providers
While we specialise in cruising holidays, you may choose to book other
services with us such as flights, accommodation, transfers and shore
excursions. We can assist you in making these arrangements; however,
we act only as a booking agent. The service providers are solely
responsible for the information and service offered and their conditions
will apply. Although our responsibility is onboard the ship, where we
arrange these services for you, we will assist in addressing any
concerns you may have. Any arrangements made by or for you are
your responsibility and entirely at your own risk.
Please note, airline terms and conditions may require full nonrefundable payment prior to Princess Cruises’ normal payment
conditions.
Ship & itinerary changes
We will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes
according to plan; however, sometimes changes can happen that may
affect your holiday experience. This could include weather, mechanical
difficulties, civil unrest or any other unforeseen circumstances.
In addition, we may charter all or part of the ship, or remove the ship
from service where this becomes necessary. We may change the
itinerary, ship or cancel the cruise due to operational or commercial
requirements.
We will notify you of these changes as soon as we can. Where we
cancel a cruise or make a significant change to the ports in your
itinerary prior to departure, you will have the choice of:
1. the new itinerary;
2.an alternative cruise of comparable standard, if available; or
3.cancelling the cruise for a full refund of your fare paid.
Once your cruise has commenced, if we are required to change the
itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather
or to protect human life or health, we are not required to provide any
compensation, unless consumer laws provide otherwise. With this in
mind, please do not make any important arrangements or meetings
based on the proposed itinerary.
Rights of the Captain
If a passenger seriously affects the safety, well-being or enjoyment of
themselves or any other person onboard, the Captain has the right to
confine, sedate or disembark the passenger. In such cases, we are not
responsible for any expenses including your return home. In addition,
you will not be entitled to any refunds. While the Captain will always act
reasonably in these circumstances, you accept that the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of everyone onboard comes first.
Leaving the cruise early
If you are required, or choose, to leave the cruise for any reason (unless
caused by our proven negligence or failure to provide services with
due care and skill and that are reasonably fit for purpose), we are not
responsible for any expenses, including your return home. This also
applies if you do not return to the ship in time for sailing after a port
visit. If we assist you with any costs, you will need to repay us on your
return. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds.
Legal matters
In the unlikely event you have reason to take legal action, you agree to
use all reasonable efforts to bring the issue to our attention as soon as
possible.
This contract is governed by the laws in force in New South Wales.
You agree that any action you bring against us will be brought in
New South Wales.
You agree only to bring action against Carnival plc and not PCL or any
of Carnival plc’s other related bodies corporate as defined in the
Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
Where consumer laws and other laws permit us to exclude our liability,
we will not be liable for:
• loss of, or damage to, any luggage or other belongings
• sickness, injury or death,
unless caused by our proven negligence or failure to provide services
with due care and skill and that are reasonably fit for purpose.
In addition, our liability will be reduced in proportion to any negligence
or fault on your part.
Privacy
Privacy laws safeguard your personal details.
Personal Information
During the booking process and your cruise holiday, we ask for
information about you. We collect this information so you receive the
highest level of personalised service. After your holiday, your information
is stored so we can inform you of any special offers or obtain feedback.
If you do not wish to receive such offers or be contacted to provide
feedback, please let us know. We may also be required to pass your

service providers and insurers.
If you consult the medical staff onboard, any information shared with
them may be made available to relevant people within our own
organisation and also externally to medical specialists, insurance
providers and our professional advisors.

For the safety and security of our passengers and crew, we use Closed
Circuit Television (CCTV) to monitor and record public areas onboard all
