There is an increasing interest in portable sawmills. With the growing emphasis on renewable energy,
green building and carbon sequestration, more people are concerned about making environmentally
conscious choices. Whether it is timber that was blown down by strong winds, property maintenance or
sale of valuable timber, the use of a portable sawmill offers the convenience of personalized service and
tailored processing.
Finding a portable sawmill for hire or for purchase can be confusing. To facilitate the process, we have
compiled a directory of manufacturers that have distribution in Louisiana. This directory can be used to
gather manufacturer information if you are considering purchasing, and the companies can be contacted
directly to get a contact list of sawmill operators located within a certain radius of a selected zip code.
