Targeted Intervention Grant funding will cease on 31 March 2015

Targeted Intervention Grant (TIG)
EYCC would like to remind all EYCC providers that TIG funding to:

overcome a short term funding issue
Or

to support the development of existing or new provision for children and families who are
unable to access mainstream provision
will cease on the 31 march 2015.
Providers who were awarded a Targeted Intervention Grant during 2014-15 were advised at
the time of their award that the funding was only available to 31 March 2015.
ECC commissions Early Interventions for children, young people and families from the
Voluntary and Community Sector through its Family Innovation Fund (FIF) and Targeted
Intervention grant. FIF and TIG are two elements of the Essex early help response to
support children, young people and their families and delivers interventions targeted at the
earliest point of need with the outcome of stable and resilient families at the heart of its
intention.
The TIG and FIF funding has now been pooled to create a single funding stream from
April 2015 to commission services for children 0-19 across Essex. The FIF Early Intervention
funding will fund the following services:

Young people’s programmes and support services

Parenting Support

Coaching and Mentoring

Counselling and Mediation
Contracts will be awarded in March 2015 for two years.
