“Miles Walked” incentive! If you walk at least 10 miles per quarter (3 months) during
club hours, you will qualify for a special healthy luncheon held exclusively for members
who complete this task.
For consistency and clarity, we have found the need to implement several revisions.
The criteria for the Walking Club incentives now include the following:
• Walking club hours are as scheduled, 9:30-10:30am
• Must walk with the group and instructor during scheduled time to obtain credit for laps
• Walks will take place outside at Doty Park
• Laps/mileage will be maintained and recorded by group leader, Bill Lendvay and
Activities Coordinator, Jan Holloway
• Laps walked without group and instructor will not be recorded toward incentives
• Group meets in lobby on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30. You are welcome to join the
walkers over at the park if you arrive after they leave the Center, provided it is still within
the time they are walking.
• If group leader or other staff member does not lead the group or if class is cancelled, laps
will NOT count.
• We will have ongoing incentives for members who cumulatively reach 10, 25, and 50
miles. Prizes will be awarded to all members who meet the required number of verified
miles for each level.
For the safety of our members, in the event of inclement weather, the decision may
be made to cancel (or relocate indoors) by either DSI or group leader, Bill Lendvay.
