Mail Manager Network: April 2015 Overview

Mail Manager Network:
June 2015
Overview
When running the Mail Manager Installation program, as described in Section A - Mail
Manager Server Installation, the following screen is displayed:
The first choice is for installing the Network Version. The second choice is available if you
have licensed the Network Version but only wish to install the Single User Version. The
choice of which Network installation you select on the next dialog depends upon your
physical network configuration and whether or not you wish to run Mail Manager on the
“Server” computer as well as each individual workstation.
If you are installing on a peer-to-peer type of network, (i.e., a network that does not have a
central server with one or more client workstations) you should select Local Network
Installation. With this configuration, the Mail Manager program can be run from this
computer as well as from any of the workstations from which you have run the client
installation as described in Section B - Mail Manager Workstation (Client) Install.

but must be run on a workstation from which you have run the client installation as
described in Section B - Mail Manager Workstation (Client) Install. In this configuration, the
Windows Registry on the server is not modified in any way.
Regardless of the installation choice, you may place mailing lists on any drive on the
network for which a particular user has full read/write access.
