Call for Curriculum Writer for Integration of Information and Computer
Technology in Instruction Specialist AQ Course
OECTA is accepting applications for a curriculum writer for the writing and development of the
Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction (IICT) Specialist additional
qualification (AQ) course.
The writer must have the IICT Specialist AQ or equivalent qualifications in this course area. The
interested writer must be a member of OECTA.
Please see the attached advertisement outlining criteria for selection. The selected writer will
receive the current course outline, course writing information, and guidelines. Writers will receive
partial remuneration for course submission and the remaining payment upon final accreditation
from the Ontario College of Teachers.
Important Dates
• Fax or email application forms with current resume and teacher certification to OECTA no
later than May 15, 2015
• Successful applicants will be notified by May 25, 2015
• Completed written course to be submitted on or before August 31, 2015
Interested members are asked to fill out the attached application form and submit their application

The writer must have the IICT Specialist AQ or equivalent qualifications in this course area. The

Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and development
Sound understanding of the principles of professional learning, as it pertains to the
integration of technology in the classroom
Demonstrated writing and editing expertise
Proficiency in authoring within the Desire2Learn (D2L) platform

The course will be submitted to the Ontario College of Teachers for initial accreditation.
The selected writer will receive the current course outline, course writing information, and

payment upon final accreditation from the Ontario College of Teachers.
