In the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) two students Arnesh Mishra & Prashant Pundeer of Class XII of DPS Vidyutnagar have cleared the aptitude test. Arnesh Mishra of Class XII has been selected for KVPY Scholarship. In the IGNITE Competition conducted by National Innovation Foundation—India Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, the model of Emergency Ambulance Provider made by Neetigya Chahar of Class IX has been accepted. DPS Vidyutnagar is licensed to operate the International Award for Young People as a Youth Engaging Society Centre in India. In the second round of SMTE (Science Maths Talent Examination) held on Dec. 14, 2014 at DPS Noida, two students of Class IX qualified the round. Utkarsh Aggarwal secured DPS Rank 21 and Aviral Agarwal secured DPS Rank 48. The school participated in a working model competition conducted by NTPC Dadri on the theme ‘Renewable Source of Energy’ for the benefit of mankind’ on Nov. 8, 2014. The school won the First Position in the Project: Speed Breaker Energy Generator’ presented by students of Class X. It was found to be so efficient that the Chief Guest Mr. D.K. Sood-ED NTPC Dadri has expressed his desire to implement it in the township. The 2nd Prize went to the Project on ‘Generating Electricity using House Hold Waste’ presented by students of class X and the consolation prize was given to the project on ‘Producing Electricity using Bleaching Powder and Water’ presented by students of Class X. (1) In the Inter DPS National Multisport Meet Girls (Open Category) held at DPS Greater Noida from Dec. 27 to Dec. 29, 2014. Himani Shishodia from Class VIII won a Silver Medal in 800 Mtr. Race and a Bronze Medal in 400 Mtr Race. JBM Global School, Noida organized Inter School Sports Carnival. Students participated in the Athletic events held on Nov. 29, 2014. The school won Gold Medal in Shot put & Discus throw (U-19 level) and 100 Mtr. Race (U-16 level). The school also won a Bronze Medal in Long Jump (U-16 level). In the Inter DPS National Multi Sports Meet for Boys held at DPS Meerut from Dec. 27 to 29, 2014, Akash Kumar from Class XI B bagged the Gold Medal in discus throw and Silver Medal in shotput.
