Design a tension member using single angle section to carry a load of 200kN (working). Use
M20, grade 5.6 black bolts. Do the necessary check.

2.
Design a tension member of a roof truss to carry a load of 120kN. The length of the member is
1.8m. The member designed shall be single angle section connected to the gusset plate 12mm
thick by M20 bolts of grade 4.6. Also design the connection between the angle and the gusset
plate.

Design a tension member of a roof truss to carry a load of 150kN. The length of the member is
1.75m. The member designed shall be single angle section connected to the gusset plate
10mm thick by M20 bolts of grade 4.6. Also design the connection between the angle and the
gusset plate.

Design a double angle discontinuous strut consisting of two angles placed on either side of a
gusset plate 16mm thick. The axial load is 150kN and length of the member between the
centers of the intersection is 2.5m.
