SS&C Anova Aggregator
Investment data is manufactured throughout your organisation and encompasses
many disciplines and functions including accounting, risk management, performance
measurement, attribution, compliance and market data. Anova Aggregator enables asset
and wealth managers to extract meaningful business intelligence from this data. This
powerful data hub consolidates, aggregates, enriches and stores data from a vast array of
sources and is also able to distribute it to both internal and external users.
Anova Aggregator Data Store
The underlying data model is rich in capability and is able to consume a very broad range
of investment data types. The data store incorporates a comprehensive set of features for
managing investment data including:
• A highly-scalable and 24x7 storage platform for core investment data and post-trade
analytics.
• Dynamic aggregation of market, reference, investment and analytical data from multiple
sources.
• Historical reporting capability, including replication of ‘point in time’ processing.
• Separate operational and reporting data model to optimise scalability and accessibility.
• Data model extendibility fit for client specific needs.
• Support for multiple asset categories from simple equities and loans to complex derivatives
and OTCs.
• A suite of pre-configured validation rules for all entities in the system designed to deliver data
integrity and quality. In addition, custom data validation rules can be defined.
• A combination of auditing functionality tailored for specific data entity needs. Firstly, ‘selfauditing’ datasets preserve all changes to the data over time ensuring changes are visible and
traceable. Secondly, reference data elements have a configurable audit mechanism listing the
data change ‘delta’; who carried out the change and when.
• The Anova data store can be partitioned into separate physical instances, with the application
switching between instances as required. This enables the physical segregation of data for
system performance or data privacy needs.
Valuations
Anova Aggregator provides a valuation engine to provide intra-day valuations of holdings
and portfolios.
Based on positions maintained inside Anova, the valuation engine takes asset details
and market details such as latest prices and exchange rates and values each asset held
accordingly.
• Handles multi-legged assets allowing them to be valued at individual leg or net level

• Provides reporting on positions, costs and exposure at all levels

The Anova valuation engine provides an alternative to clients having to import valuations
from source systems into Anova and is particularly relevant where transactions are
aggregated from multiple upstream systems.

set of interfaces and integration capabilities designed to make getting data into and out of
the platform both highly flexible and very straightforward.

Anova provides a suite of web based user dashboards. This robust user interface offers users

Additionally Anova Aggregator contains a dashboard builder so that firms can tailor their
own dashboards.
The dashboard builder allows custom and role-based dashboards to be developed. A library
of dashboard components is available and can be extended with components combined to
meet specific reporting and visualisation requirements.

Anova Aggregator contains alert functionality which allows firms to configure alerts in
the event of certain conditions are met. Alerts can be configured to warn when limits are
exceeded and can notify specified users in the business.
