When it comes to technology and innovation, Cobra have not always lead from the front. They seem to have ambled along contributing bits and pieces to the world of golf club advancements. Well in 2013 they’re about to take a huge step up the ladder with the introduction of one of the most exciting range of products in recent years, The AMP CELL. The AMP CELL comes in Drivers, Fairway Woods and Hybrids. The key benefit is the ability to adjust the loft of the club through a specially designed hosel that Cobra call ‘MyFly’. The loft of the driver can be adjusted from 8.5 degrees right up to 11.5 degrees all from the same head. We can customize the club to suit the exact flight characteristics of each golfer in order to get maximum distance without any loss of direction or control. All you have to do is choose your favourite colour!! From February, Wellsgreen will have Cobra's very special fitting unit called The Big Gig (the only one in the area) with a vast range of fitting clubs. This system has every head and shaft combination to allow us to properly fit any level of golfer, male, female, left or right handed. Rory McIlroy enjoyed great success with these clubs last season - we will just have to wait and see how he gets on with his new Nike equipment in 2013.... In 2013, we will again be an authorised Titleist SelectFit club fitting center. This allows us to fit you for everything from the driver right through to your wedges offering hundreds of shaft and head combinations giving our club fitters the chance to find the perfect ‘Titleist’ for you!! AVAILABLE FOR FITTING - DRIVERS - FAIRWAY WOODS - HYBRIDS - IRONS - WEDGES In October 2012 we reintroduced Mizuno to our club fitting lign-up at Wellsgreen. Our touring professional Peter Whiteford plays with Mizuno irons and we have been asked many times by customers about the brand. We are now a certified Mizuno DNA Fitting centre and are able to fit all standards of golfer for these great clubs. Mizuno's Swing DNA system makes fitting an easy and accurate process by selecting the best three iron shaft options from more than 50 possibilities - after just three of your better swings with the shaft optimizer. Using your unique Swing DNA (head speed, tempo, toe down, kick angle and release factor), Mizuno's software recommends the best three shafts to test and a customised combination of hybrids, irons and wedges. This together with our FlightScope launch monitor means you will always be fitted for the best irons for your game. AVAILABLE FOR FITTING - HYBRIDS - IRONS 2013 looks set to be one of Callaway’s best years in a long while! Callaway have been criticised in recent times for ‘playing it safe’ and producing clubs that are all too similar to previous models they have brought out. Callaway remain a huge force in golf but have lost ground on competitors such as Taylor Made and Ping since their glory days of their ‘BIG BERTHA’ range of clubs back in the 1990s. The 2013 range is definitely different. The X-Hot range of woods in particular will, I predict, be a huge hit with our customers this year. The drivers will retail around the £199 price point and with adjustability will do very well. In 2013 we will again be the only Callaway Club Fitting Center in the area. AVAILABLE FOR FITTING - DRIVERS - FAIRWAY WOODS - HYBRIDS - IRONS The dominant force in world golf over the past couple of years has undoubtedly been Taylor Made. Although they were not the first company to produce white drivers, they are definitely the company everybody thinks were. Their RBZ range of clubs in 2012 were an unbelievable success and 2013 will I’m sure continue to see Taylor Made leading the way. We are again a Select Fit Taylor Made performance center in 2013 and will have all their offerings available for custom fitting. AVAILABLE FOR FITTING - DRIVERS - FAIRWAY WOODS - HYBRIDS - IRONS The 2013 Ping range looks very good. They have released the G25 product earlier than expected this time round and I am sure it will do well. They have remained fairly conventional as far as the colour of the head is concerned, the drivers have a dark grey finish which many of our customers still ask for. The clubs all look very nice and are very easy to use which is what ping have always been good at. We are an authorised Ping Fitting Center and will have the full range of drivers and irons in all lofts and shaft options for you to try.
