Dear Musician,
Downtown Sioux Falls is gearing up for another exiting summer with our Street Musician
Program that is made possible through a grant provided by Xcel Energy. Every Friday and
Saturday evening during the months of June, July, and August Downtown Sioux Falls
coordinates musicians to play outside from 7:00 – 9:00pm. We would like to extend our
invitation to you and encourage you to submit an application to our office to participate in
this program. Please feel free to pass this information along to other musicians as well.
We feel that the Street Musician Program is a great way to get your name and music out to
the people of Sioux Falls. We hear from locals and tourists all the time how much the
program adds to downtown.
If you are interested in participating in our Street Musician Program, please return the
attached application, along with demo music, to our office no later than March 31st. If you
have a demo available online, please indicate the web address this can be listened to on the
attached application.

Your application will be reviewed for this year’s program in early April. You can expect to
hear an answer either way if you are selected or not by mid-April.
If selected, payment for one performance will be $100.00 per group. As mentioned
above, performance times will be 7:00-9:00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings during the
months of June, July, and August. There may be a few exceptions of this timeframe
depending on the location you’re placed at downtown. Upon completion of your
performance, checks will be mailed to you the following business week.
