CONSTRUCTION NOTICE / TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Location:
Ingram Street between Canada Ave and Duncan Street
Windley Contracting (2010) Ltd. will be conducting work on the Ingram Street project between Canada Ave and
Duncan Street. While installing new utilities we will be crossing the railway tracks on Ingram Street between
Canada Ave and Duncan Street. As a result Southern railway will be removing a portion of the railway and
replacing the tracks in concert with our utility installation. This will require Windley to close the portion of Ingram
Street between Canada Ave and Duncan Street. The closure is scheduled to start the morning of Monday April
20, 2015 and reopen for Wednesday morning April 22, 2015.
Windley currently has detoured traffic so that there is only south bound traffic along Canada Ave, which will
remain during this work. Traffic through Ingram between Canada Ave and Duncan Street will be closed and will
be enforced by Traffic Control Person (TCP) at Canada Ave/Ingram, and Queens/Duncan. Vehicle traffic will be
rerouted to James Street during this time. TCP will be deployed at James to ensure traffic flows smoothly during
this time. Windley will utilize 3 Portable Change Message Signs (PCMS) to provide advance warning with the
following message “Ingram closed between Canada and Duncan. April 20 to April 21. Use James Street”. These
will be deployed Thursday April 16 in advance of the work and during the closure. Access to the parking lot off of
Ingram Street will be maintained during this work. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.
We encourage motorists to obey traffic signs and construction speed limits.
Windley Contracting (2010) Ltd. has developed a Traffic Management Plan to minimize traffic impacts especially
to emergency services, transit, local property owners and commuters.
General questions regarding this project should be directed to Brad Dunn, Project Superintendent for Windley
Contracting 2010 Ltd. at 250-758-3411.
Regards,
Windley Contracting (2010) Ltd.
Brad Dunn
