Arrangements can be made for after-camp care
prior to the beginning of each week. Please contact
the Basketball Camp coaching staff before the
week of camp begins at 727-864-7877. There will
be a $10 charge per hour for supervising campers.
After-camp care is only available for full-day
campers. If you do not sign up for after-camp care
and the camper’s ride is late, there will be a one
dollar charge for each minute late per camper.

The full-day camp is for boys and girls ages 6-17
and will have a daily schedule of skill stations,
3-on-3 games, 5-on-5 games, and dif ferent
basketball contests. The cost of this camp is $250
per camper and includes lunch. Every camper
will receive a camp t-shirt and basketball. The
staff is comprised of experienced and enthusiastic
coaches from the college and the high school
levels. College athletes from the men’s and
women’s basketball teams will also be working
as counselors. Hours for this camp will be from
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. After-camp care is available.
A half-day fundamental camp is also available. The
half-day camp features all the same elements as the
full-day version, excluding the 5-on-5 games and
lunch. Every camper will receive a camp t-shirt and
basketball. The cost of the half-day camp is $150,
and the hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. There is a
$20 discount for Junior Tritons.
Team Clinic
The Eckerd College coaching staff will host your
team or travel to you and have a clinic focused on
fundamental skills or any topic the coach requests.

Independent Campers
Tuition: $250 per residential camper
Tuition: $180 per commuter
Independent campers (varsity and junior varsity
individuals up to age 18) will be placed on a team
based on skill level and availability. We will supply
the coach, and the campers will compete against
attending high schools. Campers will receive six
meals, station work, two nights lodging, a t-shirt,
and a minimum of six games.
Our camp will provide a unique opportunity for
high school teams to play and improve while facing
quality competition. Each team participating in
Team Camp will play a minimum of six games. This
camp is limited to high school aged teams only.
Coaches are required to bring numbered jerseys to
wear in the contests. Games will be two 20-minute
halves, with high school and college officials.
Coaches, we will have a varsity and junior varsity
league. Please contact the Eckerd College coaching
staff with any questions you might have. Discounts
available for multiple teams and early registration.

Participation Waivers
In addition to the camp registration form, each camp
participant and their parent or legal guardian will be
required to read and sign the Eckerd College Release and
Waiver form for Camp Program Participants. The release
and waiver can be found at http://www.eckerdtritons.

signed copy of the waiver to 727-864-8968, mail it in
with registration form, or bring it with you to registration
on the first day of camp.
Upon receipt of your registration, a confirmation letter
will be sent to you. Due to the large response during the
past few years, we are limiting enrollment for each camp
session to maintain the quality of our camp program.
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve
basis. Cash will not be used in our camp store. Instead,
money can be deposited on the day of registration and
the balance will be refunded on the last day.
Registrations that are canceled prior to the start of
camp, participants who are dismissed by the College and
“no-shows” will be assessed an administrative fee of $100.
Refund of camp cost will be pro-rated on a percentage
basis using the last date of attendance and duration of camp.

Camp Information
About Eckerd College
Eckerd College is a private, coeducational college
of liberal arts and sciences related by covenant to
the Presbyterian Church (USA). Founded in 1958,
Eckerd is a pioneer of responsible innovation –
developing programs that have been adopted
nationwide and earning the college an international
reputation for academic excellence.
Eckerd College competes in the Sunshine State
Conference, one of the premier NCAA Division II
athletic conferences in the nation. The Eckerd
College men’s basketball program has made 11
trips to the NCAA Tournament (’73, ’94, ’95, ’01, ’03,
’04, ’05, ’07, ’08, ’12, ’13). In 2003, the Tritons won
the South Region and advanced to the Elite Eight.
In 2007, the Tritons lost on a last-second, half court
shot to advance to the Elite Eight.
Men’s basketball is one of 13 Division II sports
sponsored at Eckerd. The other sports included in the
athletics department are men’s and women’s soccer,
women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis,
men’s and women’s golf, baseball, sailing,
softball, sand volleyball and volleyball.
Tuition: The full-day and residential camps include:
instruction, meals, camp t-shirt, basketball, use
of facilities, and lodging for overnight campers
(team camp). A $100 nonrefundable deposit must
be submitted with the application. The balance
is due at check-in. Campers who register for more
than one camp receive a $20 discount on each
additional week.
Food: Meals will be served at the Eckerd College
cafeteria, located in the center of the residential area
of the campus. Each meal features a wide variety
of selection. The Bon Appétit corporation caters
all meals. The camp store is located in the gym and
snacks can be purchased there in the afternoon.
Pool: The olympic-sized college swimming pool
will be available when the camp schedule permits.
Campers may bring a swimsuit and towel if they
desire. Certified lifeguards are on duty at all
operating times.
Facilities: The spacious and beautiful surroundings
of the Eckerd College campus provide an enjoyable
and excellent setting for any camp.

In his 19 seasons as the Eckerd College Head Men’s
Basketball Coach, Tom Ryan has been a two-time
SSC Coach of the Year (1998 and 2001) and was
named the National Association of Basketball
Coaches (NABC) Coach of the Year in 2001. In
2003, Ryan led the Tritons to Eckerd’s first South
Region Championship and Elite Eight appearance.
Ryan played at Eckerd as a point guard under
legendary coach Jim Harley from 1983 to 1987.

Marcus Bryant is in his fifth season as a member
of the Triton coaching staff, following a playing
career at Eckerd that saw him lead the Tritons to
the school’s first ever regional championship and
Elite Eight appearance.

The Camp Staff will be made up of local high
school and middle school coaches, as well as the
Eckerd College coaching staff and players. Adult
supervision is maintained at all times, on and off
the court. Lifeguards are on duty at all times at the
pool. Eckerd College Security is on duty 24 hours a
