The Edge tennis staff is here to help you learn, progress, and maximize your skills to achieve your
highest level of play in the lifelong sport of tennis. Our goal is to provide you with the finest
opportunities through exciting and challenging programs. Whether you are learning the basics or
fine-tuning your game, no matter your skill or age, we have a program that will fit your needs.

The Edge Payment Policy
1.
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2.
Payments are due (in person or by phone) at the time of registration.
3.
Late payments are subject to a 10% late fee.
4.
Discounted package pricing applies to pre-payments only.
5.
All session/lesson packages must be used within 12 months.
6.
The Edge cannot guarantee the same instructor/trainer for each program but does guarantee the same level of service.
7.
If a participant “no-shows” or cancels a private lesson/session without a 24 hour notice, then the participant will be charged for the
session.
8.
There are no “make-ups” for missed lessons/sessions. However, we will offer a make-up if we must cancel a lesson/session.

Ball Machine Rental
The ball machine is available for a one-hour reservation based on court availability at South BurlingtonKennedy Drive or Eastwood locations. Reservations may be made up to four days in advance. The fee is $15
per hour or purchase a series of 10 for $100.
Adult “New Member” Tennis Orientation
Schedule your personalized free visit with any of the tennis professionals at The Edge and find
out what the tennis department can do for you. The orientation is a ½ hour on court evaluation.
You will be given a visual rating and advice on programs to best suit your tennis game. Plus
receive 10% off your first private tennis lesson. It’s just our way of saying, “Welcome to The
Edge Tennis Program”.

week for drills, skills, active play and lots of fun. Participants must sign up the day of and must
check in at the front desk before entering the court. If you stay for two classes you will be

Taught by Damon Fitch at Kennedy. Be prepared to sweat and enjoy an on court aerobic tennis circuit
that will be the talk of the club! The hour will consist of active drills and games that get you moving
your feet and hitting a variety of shots. Tune up your competitive tennis game today. All classes are coed. Classes run weekly. Space is limited to 8 players per class so please sign up by calling the front
desk at least 24 hours in advance.

South Burlington Winter 2015 Junior Tennis
The Junior Tennis Program at South Burlington offers professional coaching
headed by Raul Fonseca in South Burlington. Raul brings his experience to our
program from coaching on the Pro Tour level! The Junior Tennis Program provides
a fun learning experience in a safe environment. Lesson plans are designed to help
each player improve technical and tactical skills. The goal of our coaching staff is
to help each player to have fun and progress to the next level of play.
The Elite Academy Program is limited to high level players with established
goals. Players who are eligible must consult with Raul in order to register for this
program.
All juniors must check in at the front desk daily before going to the court to
confirm attendance and payment. Discounts will apply if you preregister.
January-June 2015:

South Burlington-Kennedy Location:
Raul's Junior Academy will be starting up in January and we will be running three 7
week sessions that run from Jan. 5-Feb. 21, March 2-April 18, and April 27-June 13. We
are having a one day early registration discount of 20% for any child signing up for 2 or
more weekly classes in the same session. This 20% discount also applies to any family
signing up more than 1 child in the same 7 week session. You must call the club or stop in
between 9am-5pm on Dec. 27th, at our West Twin Oaks Terrace location to pay and
register. This will be the only time you can receive 20% off for any of the three 7 week
sessions in our Winter/Spring programming. If you prefer, you can sign up now online or
at the club and receive a 10% early registration discount for any or all of the three 7 week
sessions. This price is automatically reflected online and in our computers at the front
desk. Thank you for supporting our junior tennis program!
Main Goals: The Academy program provides a fun learning experience in a safe environment.
The coaching staff and lesson plans are designed to help each individual improve their technical
and tactical skills.
Player Placement: There are three determining factors for player placement: Age, Skill Level,
and Elite Status. If a player needs help with placement please contact Raul to schedule a free
evaluation.
Elite Program: The difference between Academy and Elite programs are the players and long
term goals. The Academy will help each student achieve a recreational club, midrange high
school level of play. The Elite program is individually designed to help a player achieve USTA
ranking, upper range high school and collegiate play. In order to enter the Elite program a
player and parent must consult with Raul and commit to the program. Raul can be reached at
658-0001.
Class Make-Up Policy: If a player misses classes they can make it up on any other day within
that session. No make-ups except for extenuating circumstances will be carried over to the next
session. If the minimum number of class participants required is not met after the first week of
class, players will be redirected or have the option to be refunded for the remainder of classes.
Online Registration: After selecting a program time and session visit www.edgevt.com and log
in as a guest or member. Proceed to Program Registration and then to W. Twin Oaks Terrace
and enter the Online Program Code from the table below. The first code in each row is for the
first session and the second code is for the second session (e.g. FSBM11 is Sept 8-Oct 20,
FSBM22 is Oct 27-Dec22).

JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS
Winter/Spring Championship Series
A series of tournaments in multiple age division lead up to a state championship in
May. The cost is $20 per member or $25 per nonmember per tournament date. Each
tournament features two age divisions on both Saturday and Sunday, with the earliest
matches at noon. All tournaments are held at the Kennedy Drive location in South
