1 WHAT LLOYDSPHARMACY CETlRIZINE 10MG ALLERGY RELIEF TABLETS ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE
USED FOR
What your tablets contain:
The active ingredient in this medicine is cetirizine hydrochloride. This is the new name for cetirizine
dihydrochloride. The ingredient itself has not changed.
Each Lloydspharmacy Cetirizine 10mg Allergy ReliefTabiet contains 10 mg ofthe active ingredient cetirizine hydrochloride. The other ingredients are: pregelatinized starch, lactose, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, macrogol 6000, basic polymethacrylate, titanium dioxide (E171), talc. Each pack contains 7, 10 or 30 tablets in blister strips. Lloydspharmacy Cetirizine 10mg Allergy ReliefTablets are white, capsule-shaped film-coated tablets and are scored on one side. What your tablets do:
This medicine treats people suffering from hayfever (seasonal allergic rhinitis), perennial allergic rhinitis (a similar
condition to hayfever caused by allergies, that continues throughout the year) and urticaria (swelling, redness and
itchiness of the skin).
Antihistamines like Cetirizine relieve the unpleasant symptoms and discomfort associated with the above
conditions, such as sneezing, itchy, runny and blocked nose, itchy, red and watering eyes and itchy skin rashes.
2 BEFORE YOU TAKE UOYDSPHARMACY CETlRIZINE 10MG ALLERGY RELIEF TABLETS
Do not take lIoydspharmacy Cetlrlzine 1Omg Allergy Relief Tablets If:
• You are hypersensitive (allergic) to Cetirizine or any other antihistamine or any of the other ingredients of
UOydspharmacy Cetirizine 10mg Allergy ReliefTablets.
• You are breast-feeding.

Take special care with Lloydspharmacy Cetirizine 101ng Allergy Relief tablets if:
• You have ever had liver Of kidney problems. In this case please consult a pharmacist or your doctor, as your daily
dose may need to be reduced.
Pregnancy:
If you are pregnant or likely to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any
medicine.
Driving and using machines:
These tablets might make you feel drowsy; if you are affected, do not drive or operate any tools or machines.

Relief Tablets:
This medicine contains lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars,
contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Taking Lloydspharmacy Cetirizlne 10mg Allergy Relief Tablets with alcohol:
Alcohol should be avoided while taking these tablets since the effects of alcohol may be increased (e.g. increased
drowsiness and lack of co-ordination).
Taking other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those not prescribed. 3 HOW TO TAKE LLOYDSPHARMACY CETIRIZINE 10MG ALLERGY RELIEF TABLETS Adults and children over 6 years: The usual dose is one tablet once daily. Patients with liver or kidney problems: The usual dose is half a tablet once daily. Swallow whole with a glass of water. 00 not exceed the daily dose. These tablets are not intended for children under the age of 6 years. If you forget to take a tablet, take it as soon as you remember, but wait at least 24 hours before taking the next tablet. If you have the impression that the effect of l10ydspharmacy Cetirizine 10mg Allergy ReliefTablets is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If you take more Lloydspharmacy Cetirizine 1Omg Allergy Relief Tablets than you should:
In the event of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital. One of the symptoms
of overdose in adults is drowsiness or dizziness, therefore do not drive.
4 POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Usually Cetirizine is well tolerated, however, occasionally some side effects might occur which are: drowsiness, headache, dizziness, agitation, dry mouth or gastro-intestinal discomfort. If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, stop taking the tablets and inform your doctor or pharmacist. 5 STORING LLOYDSPHARMACY CETIRIZINE 1OMG ALLERGY RELIEF TABLETS
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
