ITINERARY
Wed, Oct 7—Day 1: Join Lorenzo on his journey to his father’s homeland ~ Sicily. Your tour
starts as you board your private motorcoach from the Milwaukee Athletic Club to Chicago
O’Hare. Overnight flight to Palmero, Sicily – connection through Rome. Enjoy in-flight meals
and entertainment as you start your enchanting trip to Sicily.
Thur, Oct 8—Day 2: PALERMO, SICILY (Welcome to Sicily!)
Upon arrival in Palermo, your guide, Sabrina, will meet you outside of baggage claim and direct
you to your private motorcoach where your driver, Enzo, will be waiting. Sit back and relax as
you begin your journey to Cefalu and check-in to your hotel. Hotel Artemis. This evening,
enjoy a wonderful Sicilian dinner at Ristorante Al Porticciolo (drinks included). After dinner
you will return to the hotel. Overnight: Cefalu’(D)
Fri, Oct 9—Day 3: CEFALU’ SIGHTSEEING ~ TAORMINA
After breakfast at the hotel this morning, we will meet up with Sabrina for a guided sightseeing tour of Cefalu’ and its
surroundings. Enjoy a walk to the city and down main streets to reach toe Arab-Norman Cathedral and the medieval WashHouse built in the rock. Lunch will be on your own. After lunch everyone will meet up at a designated time to depart Cefalu’
and drive to Taormina. After checking in our hotel, Excelsior Palace, the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps, explore
some of the local restaurants or shop around for souvenirs. This evening, enjoy dinner at Ristorante Da Lorenzo (drinks
included). After dinner return to the hotel or stroll around the quaint old city of Taormina. Overnight: Taormina (B,D)
Sat, Oct 10—Day 4: TAORMINA ~ MT ETNA ~ TAORMINA
After an early breakfast, depart for an early morning excursion to Mt Etna. Enjoy lunch at
Crateri Silvestri Restaurant. This afternoon enjoy a guided visit of the small medieval village
called “the pearl of the Ionic Sea.” See the Duomo, the Corso Umberto I and the Palazzo
Corvaia, seat of the first Sicilian parliament. Then visit the town’s 2nd-century Greek Theatre,
whose stunning location overlooking the coast, with Mount Etna providing a natural
background. Visit the public gardens, a piece of history that makes Taormina unique. A lovely
garden standing on a cliff with splendid views of the sea on one side, and a view of old Taormina and its Greek Theatre on the
other side. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight ~ Taormina (B,L)
Sun, Oct 11—Day 5: TAORAMINA SICILIAN COOKING CLASS & MARKET SHOPPING
This morning after breakfast, join Chef Massimo in Taormina, as he leads you through a guided
market tour in our Shop with the Chef Tour, showcasing Sicily’s colorful foods. Pick up the
ingredients for your hands-on cooking class while learning about the local in-season products and
Massimo’s family recipe and traditions. After the market tour, everyone returns to the kitchen to
start the cooking class, featuring Sicilian specialties. Each hands-on cooking class includes the
preparation of a full Sicilian menu and typical Sicilian dessert. Lunch follows featuring the foods
prepared in class with local Sicilian wines and dessert (drinks included). The rest of your day is at leisure. Dinner is on your

Mon, Oct 12—Day 6: TAORMINA ~ SIRACUSA
After breakfast, depart Taormina and travel to Siracusa. Upon arrival, you will be taken
on a sightseeing tour of the historic centre & Piazza del Duomo. Then head out to explore
Siracusa’s fantastic classical ruins. Lunch and exploring on your own this afternoon. This
evening you will enjoy an included dinner. Overnight ~ UNA Hotel One (B,D)

Tues, Oct 13—Day 7: SIRACUSA
This morning, after breakfast, we head south of Siracusa to the villages that were destroyed by
an earthquake in 1693. The rebuilding in the early 18th century was marked by flamboyant
architecture and elaborates embellishments. This style is now known as Sicilian Baroque. This
style influences much of Sicily today. During your tour you will be treated to a wonderful lunch.
In Modica you’ll make chocolate using the recipe that dates all the way back to the Aztecs. In
Noto you’ll visit the Basilica di San Salvatore and the Duomo San Niccolo. Dinner & Overnight: UNA Hotel One (B,L,D)
Wed, Oct 14—Day 8: SIRACUSA ~ AGRIGENTO ~ PALERMO
After breakfast, we head out across country to the “Valley of the Temples” near Agrigento.
On our journey across the southern part of Sicily, a included lunch break is planned. Upon
arrival to the Valley of the Temples, we will meet up with our local guide for a visit to all the
temples ~ including Temple of Juno, Concord, Hercules, Zeus, Castor and Pollux. We then
continue the 1 ½ hour ride towards Palermo. You will have some time to freshen up before

Thurs, Oct 15—Day 9: PALMERO ~ MONREALE ~ PALERMO
Breakfast this morning. Drive to Monreale to see the Cathedral. Early Lunch at Restaurant Bricco & Baaco (drinks included).
Then enjoy a guided tour of the historical center of Palermo, one of the largest of Europe, including the Cathedral, the
Palatine Chapel and the Royal Palace. Not to be missed is the Vucciria Market, Teatro Massimo, via Liberta and Piazza
Politeama. Afternoon is free for shopping and relaxing. This evening Lorenzo will treat you to an authentic Sicilian Pizza

Fri, Oct 16—Day 10: PALERMO ~ ASPRA ~ PALERMO
Leisurely breakfast this morning. This morning & early afternoon are free for relaxing, shopping & exploring. This afternoon
drive to Aspra and see the Arco Azzurro Geological formations & museum. This evening, enjoy your last evening in Sicily as
you are treated to a very special Sicilian Farewell Dinner. Return to our hotel for the evening. Overnight ~ Grand Hotel Et Des

Sat, Oct 17—Day 11: RETURN TO THE USA.
After your final breakfast, it is time to bid-farewell to Lorenzo’s homeland as we transfer back to the Palermo Airport. Upon
arrival into Chicago, you will get your luggage and head to your transfer coach waiting to take you back to the Milwaukee
Athletic Club.(B)

Price of Tour includes: All items and admissions as listed in the itinerary.
Tour price does not include: Trip cancellation, baggage, health and medical
insurance, meals or excursions not listed on the tour package flyer, items of a
personal nature and any items not listed on flyer, gratuity to driver & guide is
not included, passport fees.
Reservations & Payment: To reserve your place on this customized, complete and sign this Reservation Form
as an acknowledgement that you agree to the conditions of this contract. Space on this tour is limited to 24.
Even though our booking deadline is set June 1, 2015, reservations are on a first come – first served basis.
Reservations without proper deposit cannot be guaranteed. Final payment will be due on or before June 22,
2015. Final documents will be distributed approximately 11 days prior to departure.
Cancellations and Refunds: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to ELJO Travel LLC. The following
cancellation penalties apply: Prior to 6/22/2015 - $150.00 per person. From 6/23/2015 to 8/28/2015 – 20% of
total cost, per person. From 8/29/2015 to 9/1/2015 – 50% of price. From 9/1/2015 to date of departure –
Non Refundable. NOTE: ELJO Travel LLC highly recommends trip cancellation coverage. Trip Insurance will be
sent out with your deposit receipt.
Passenger’s Responsibilities: Passengers must check in at the appointed pick up area at least 30 minutes
before departure of motorcoach going to Chicago OR at the airline ticket counter at least two hours prior to
departure time of flight. In addition, you should be in the departure gate area no less than 50 minutes prior to
flight time. Failure to comply could result in the loss of your seat to a standby passenger. Passengers are not
permitted to alter their group ticket route, city of origin, or flight schedules. All passengers must have a valid
passport, which is still valid for six (6) months after the return of this tour.

Tours & Milwaukee Athletic Club are independent contractors that arranges travel related services for
individuals and groups. They are not agents of the customer or of those providing travel-services and do not
in any manner directly provide accommodations, transportation, meals or other travel related services. They
shall not be liable for any delayed departure, missed carrier connections, substitutions of accommodations or
of common carrier equipment, termination of services, changes in fares or for cancellations of reservations,
which are beyond their control and without notice. They reserves the right to alter the itinerary. They also
reserve the right to decline, accept and/or retain any person as a member of this tour at any time, for any
reason whatsoever. They also reserve the right to replace the host in case of injury or schedule of conflict. All
