The campus is a wooded campus with hotel

people per room. If space gets tight, you
may be assigned a room to make sure
everyone has a bed. We will make every
effort to make sure people are lodged
appropriately to meet any special needs or
requests. In addition to the hotel room, Tall
Oaks will also be providing 3 meals per day.
Most of the meals will be buffet style, but
their chef will make arrangements for any
special dietary needs. If you have additional
dietary needs please let me know. If you are
local to the KC area and will not be staying
at Tall Oaks, your registration fee will reflect
a fee for meals as you will be eating lunch
and some dinners at the conference center
due to training times.
Course Description
EERU/ASAR is teaming up with Rescue
360 to offer the first Human Rope Rescue
Technician / ASAR/Confined
Space/Compromised Structure training with
both human/animal rescue scenario's in
May. The class will be at the Tall Oaks
conference center in Linwood, KS May 4th8th. We will be teaching 48 hours of
human rope rescue technician skills with
high angle applications, along with
advanced ASAR animal rescue
applications. This training will include
additional awareness training in both
Compromised Structure and Confined
Space Hazard Identification and Mitigation.
With so much material to cover in 5 days of
class, some evening sessions will
be included during the week. Since some
agencies frown upon OT during training,
the evening hours will be optional (but
encouraged) to enhance and build on the
regular business day training. With that in
mind, we have reserved hotel
accommodations at Tall Oaks, along with 3
meals per day for each participant, so we
can stay on campus and focus on training
with comfort and convenience for our
responders. This class will require early
registration and payment to ensure we meet
the minimum participants needed to secure
the campus for lodging, meals, and training.
If for some reason the class will not meet
the minimum students, your registration
fees will be refunded 100%.
Class Size is limited to 25 participants to
optimize individual instruction.
Confirmation of registration and directions
will be emailed before the course.
Registration Information
Fees: The training cost will be $500 for
the week.
*If you are local and just require meals,
there is an additional fee of $100 to cover
lunches and optional dinners for the week.
**If you are coming from out of town and
will be staying at the Tall Oaks campus,
the additional fee for hotel (Sun night Friday lunch, checkout Friday) plus the 3
meals per day is only $430 per person.
That breaks down to a hotel room and 3
meals per day for only $86 per person/per
day. That's a great price especially since
you won't have to drive anywhere for the
week if you don't want too.
Price breakdown: $600 total (if not
staying at Tall Oaks); $930 total (if staying
at Tall Oaks, includes hotel and meals).
Payments can be made to EERU via credit
card, debit card, PayPal, cash, or agency
check or direct deposit. No personal
checks will be accepted. All registrations
and payments must be made prior to April
1st, 2015 to hold your spot for training.
Payments can be made on the EERU
website (www.eerular.org) via the PayPal
donation button; enter “May Ropes
Training" in the comments section. Or you
can contact me directly for additional
options if needed.
