Logo and stationary prototypes for my freelance design company - E & E design.
Overall look and feel is clean, simple, modern with an edge; achieved with the use of
simple san serif typeface and colour treatment.
COMPANY IDENTITY
Cleo, a Canadian fashion retailer brand for women, had launched their e-commerce
website in 2010. The website offers customer access to the latest fashion 24/7, as well
as trendy style tips, new promotions, and events. I had actively participated in this
project from the very beginning. My work and design can be seen all throughout the
site - from splash pages and banner bars to pop-ups and icons. I have also utilized my
skills in HTML and User Experience throughout this project.

WEB DESIGN
To increase the number of email sign-ups on cleo.ca, I had proposed a design for email
subscription pop-up on the company’s landing page. The result was extremely
successful. This pop-up is still being utilized to this day and occasionally with
different designs. For example, shipping information was added during the Holiday
to give users the important details about timing on product delivery.
WEB DESIGN
In today’s competitive retail environment, it is important for email designs to
communicate messages clearly and to be able to capture the customers' attention
instantly. These goals were achieved by displaying great fashion images, effective use
of typography and utilizing special effects such as animations in .gif formats. Optimizing
for mobile devices is also crucial in creating successful email designs. Executing these
designs in a timely manner was one of my many responsibilities at Cleo.
EMAIL CAMPAIGNS
11” by 17” in-house prints designed to be utilized in store as an associate selling
tool as well as product knowledge for office staff. I took charge in the design of
these prints, including the development of tag lines and copies. I also assisted
in the photo shoots for the featured items.
PRINTS
Designed the identity of Cleo fashion retail’s new bonus points loyalty program launched in Spring 2015. Worked with marketing research team on the logistics
of this program, including customer education and user experience.

Photographic images produced for Cleo fashion retail utilized in marketing
across omni-channel, including online, email buzz, and store graphics. I took
lead in providing innovative concepts and photo art direction. I also directed
the photo shoots and post-production process effectively with the photographer
and team of talents, which resulted in high-quality shots that successfully
supported the marketing campaigns.
ART DIRECTION
New associate discount card designs created for Comark Inc., a Canadian fashion retailer
when the company requested an update to their current design. The company’s logo was
utilized within the design in a modern and sophisticated style.
COMARK DISCOUNT CARD
Gift card holder design for Cleo fashion retail in Holiday 2013. I was in charge of
the conceptualization, design, and press-ready creative approval before production.
I also played a key role in the coordination of distribution and communication to
stores in regards to the use of this gift card holder.
GIFT CARD HOLDER
Reusable tote bag designs created for Cleo in support of the Breast Cancer Society
of Canada. All proceeds generated from the sale of these bags go to breast cancer
research. I took lead in design, structured all layouts for production, approved
press checks, and obtained accurate price quotes of this project.
TOTE BAG DESIGN
Stylish and branded coupons created and produced seasonally for distribution during
store events. I took charge in the creation of these coupons from start to finish, including
layout designs and press approvals.
BOUNCE BACK COUPONS
Examples of Cleo fashion retail’s window designs. I had conducted seasonal
research and developed conceptualization for all windows, followed by meetings
with the visual design team and Art Director to present creative ideas. Once finalized,
production-ready files were created and printing with vendors were coordinated.
I also managed press approvals, budget and distribution to stores.
