The Painted Turtle 17000 Elizabeth Lake Rd, Lake Hughes, CA 93532 What? End Epilepsy Family Day at The Painted Turtle is organized by The Painted Turtle in cooperation with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. Our organizations are partnering for this event to provide children with epilepsy and their immediate families the opportunity to have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Activities will include arts & crafts, woodshop, fishing, archery, boating, swimming, indoor/outdoor games and much more summertime fun! Parents will have the opportunity to attend an Epilepsy and My Child session. Why? Because children with serious or chronic medical conditions, such as epilepsy, need to celebrate just being kids with their siblings! The Painted Turtle’s program brings the joy and energy of camp to children and families throughout California. That’s also why the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles holds a Family Day every year! There’s no limit to the amount of laughter and memories that campers can take home with them! Who? Families of a child with epilepsy and his or her siblings are encouraged to register and participate. Family Day activities are geared toward children ages 5-17 years. Younger children are welcome but will require parent support at all times. How? End Epilepsy Family Day is FREE. All you have to do is register and show up. To help ensure families are able to participate, some transportation assistance can be arranged. Please make note of your transportation needs on the registration form and we will coordinate with you. Space is limited and advanced registration is required, so RSVP early! www.classy.org/EpilepsyFamilyDay 1-800-564-0445 The Painted Turtle: A member of Paul Newman’s SeriousFun Children’s Network, The Painted Turtle helps children with serious illnesses celebrate the joys of being a kid through innovative, medically supported camp experiences.
