FirstEnergy’s Ohio Utilities Rebate Requirements
• Rebate applications are valid for qualified products purchased
from March 20, 2013, through December 31, 2014.
• Rebate application must be postmarked by March 31, 2015.
• Rebate application must include a valid customer account number
and be accompanied by a legible copy of the dated sales receipt
showing proof of purchase that includes manufacturer, model
number, store name/location, purchase price and date of
purchase.
• Applicant must be an Ohio residential customer of Ohio Edison, The
Illuminating Company or Toledo Edison, FirstEnergy’s Ohio utilities.
• Products must be used at the service address on customer’s
account within the service territories of Ohio Edison, The
Illuminating Company or Toledo Edison, FirstEnergy’s Ohio utilities.
• All rebated products must be listed by the EPA as ENERGY STAR
qualified on www.energystar.gov.
• Payment will be issued to the account holder and mailing address
on record with the utility.
• Application must be submitted within 90 days of purchase to qualify
for rebate.
• Please allow up to 90 days from the date all required information is
received to process your rebate.
• Program procedures, requirements and rebate levels are subject
to change or cancellation without notice and are subject to available
program funds.

Your participation in these programs reduces demand for electricity, which results in
energy efficiency resource credits being created. Through your participation in these
programs, you agree to allow your utility to take ownership of and aggregate these
credits and sell them into the market. Proceeds from these sales will be used to reduce
the costs charged to our customers to administer these programs. The costs of energy
efficiency programs are recovered through customer rates in accordance with Ohio
Senate Bill 221.
