LIFETIME STRUCTURAL WARRANTY
To our valued customer:
Congratulations, by selecting a genuine SNUGTOP you have made the obvious choice to own the very
best. For over 50 years SNUGTOP has designed and crafted innovative products which has made it the
leader in the fiberglass Truck Cap industry. SNUGTOP takes great pride in this tradition.
This Lifetime Structural Warranty is extended to you by Custom Fibreglass Mfg. Co., 1711 Harbor Ave.,
P.O. Box 121, Long Beach, CA 90801.
This warranty applies to you the original purchaser and to the new SNUGTOP Cap/Lid when purchased
from an authorized SNUGTOP dealer. This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original
Cap/Lid only for as long as it remains with the original and first truck of installation.
THE STRUCTURE of your new SNUGTOP fiberglass Cap/Lid is warranted to be free from defects in the
materials and workmanship for as long as you own it.
ALL OTHER COMPONENTS, such as doors, windows (excluding glass), boots, hardware, etc. are
warranted for a period of one year from the date of the first retail purchase.
PAINTED EXTERIOR FINISHES of the Cap/Lid are warranted for the life of the product against defects in
workmanship and abnormal fading (if the Cap/Lid fades faster than the truck).
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS OF THIS WARRANTY
The following limitations and exclusions apply:

Damage due to abuse, misuse, accident, improper installation, removal or reinstallation, alterations,
lack of maintenance or normal wear and tear is not warranted.
•
Glass breakage or scratches are not warranted.
•
Crazing resulting from impact or misuse is not warranted.
•
Damage caused by installation preformed by anyone other than the factory or an authorized dealer
is not warranted.
•
Damage to accessories or content other than the Cap or Lid is not warranted.
•
Damage or wear and tear to the truck’s paint finish caused by the Cap/Lid resting on the truck rails,
the Cap door touching the tailgate or the compression boot touching the truck cab is not warranted.

•
Damage caused by operating the truck with the Cap door or the Lid in the open position is not
warranted.
WARRANTY REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
If your SNUGTOP Cap or Lid is found to be defective under the terms of this warranty, it must be returned
to an authorized SNUGTOP dealer for repair and/or shipment to the factory. Repairs will be made at no
cost except for shipping cost to the place of purchase, the nearest authorized dealer of the factory,
whichever is less.
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
SNUGTOP does not authorize any person to extend any obligation with regards to this limited warranty
except as provided herein. The original purchaser’s remedy for breach of warranty shall consist solely of
repair or replacement as provided under the terms of this warranty. No warranty of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose, if any is implied from the sale, shall extend for a longer duration of this
written warranty. SNUGTOP expressly excludes liability for any incidental or consequential damages as a
result of the purchase or use of the SNUGTOP fiberglass Cap or Lid.
OTHER WARRANTIES
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitations
of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
VALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY
This Lifetime Structural Warranty will be protected only if you complete and mail this attached warranty
registration card back to us within 15 days of the purchase date. Retain and make available “proof of
purchase” at the time of any warranty claim. The original sales receipt matching the serial number on the
Cap/Lid and the warranty registration form on file, constitutes proof.

• To properly care for a painted surface, wash (with a mild detergent) and wax
the Cap/Lid every four to six weeks with a high quality car or boat wax.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Do not wipe painted surfaces with a dry cloth (Please wait approx. 60 days
before waxing to allow for maximum cure of the paint finish).
• Do not scrape off ice and snow from your Truck Cap or Tonneau Cover.

How To Care For The Parts On The Cap And / Or Lid
• Lubricate all moving door lock and Lid lock parts regularly with an oil base
lubricant.
• Do not use any silicone or petroleum distillate (WD-40) type spray lubricants.
• Lubricate locks, hinges, locking rods, etc. regularly.

Checking For Proper Fit Periodically Prevents Wear
• Check the proper fit of the SnugLid Tonneau Cover periodically. Improper
gaps between the SnugLid and the truck bed may cause paint wear and
could be an indication that the mounting hardware needs tightening or
adjustment. Contact your SNUGTOP dealer if necessary.
• Paint wear caused by the SnugLid Tonneau Cover resting on the truck rails
is not covered by this warranty. Follow specific Installation Instructions to
minimize movement of the Lid.
• Improper tightening of j-hooks (mounting hardware) may result in excessive
movement of the Truck Cap causing paint wear where the rubber seal makes
contact with the truck rails and where the rubber boot makes contact with the
vehicle cab. Engine and road vibrations can also cause mounting hardware
to work loose.
NOTE: Contact your SNUGTOP dealer regarding the availablity of products,
which protect the truck surface against scuffing and/or chafing.
Caution: Always drive with the SnugLid closed and locked.
Removing And Re-installing Your Snugtop
If your Truck Cap or Tonneau Cover needs to be removed or re-installed please
a) follow the Installation Instructions supplied by your SNUGTOP dealer or
b) visit your SNUGTOP dealer for assistance or
c) visit www.snugtop.com for the location of your nearest dealer or a copy of
the installation instructions as well as care and maintenance information.

Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers are not designed to serve as
passenger compartments.
State laws prohibit carrying passengers in the bed of a pickup truck.
Do not occupy the pickup truck box while the engine is running or the
vehicle is moving. Serious or fatal injury may occur from collision or
carbon monoxide poisoning.
Always keep your Truck Cap doors closed while driving your vehicle.
Always keep your SnugLid Tonneau Cover closed and locked while
driving.
All mounting hardware requires regular inspection and occasional
tightening. If you detect any wear or corrosion on mounting hardware,
contact your SNUGTOP dealer for factory replacement parts.
This Truck Cap / Tonneau Cover is weather resistant but not
weatherproof. Please take appropriate measures to ensure the safety
of any items of value.
This Truck Cap is not a ʻRoll Barʼ. In case of an accident, it does not
provide protection to the occupants of the vehicle.
Never transport the pickup truck, with a Tonneau Cover installed, with
the rear of the truck facing forward on a flatbed or tow truck.
Protect yourself and others - buckle up!

Roof Rack Warnings
• Do not load your rack in excess of the rated rack capacity.
• Loads must be secured to be properly retained in all moving and
stopping conditions.
• Be careful when heavy loads are carried high as they can alter the
center of gravity of your vehicle.
