Ibaraki free bus service for overseas tourism

To promote overseas tours and increase more overnight stays in Ibaraki prefecture, this service is offered
to
① Land-operators who are thinking of or planning package tours from abroad to Ibaraki and ② Travel
agencies that are planning an overseas group tour including at least one overnight stay at a hotel in
Ibaraki and selling the tour.
During the travel to Ibaraki of the above tours we will offer a bus for free. The purpose of this service
is to attract more overseas visitors and to have them experience the wonderfulness of Ibaraki sightseeing
by lessening the cost of the travel. We hope more chances to visit Ibaraki will take place.
A free bus: Requirements and Contents
○ Users or tours should satisfy all the requirements given below.
【Land-operators】
（１）
Presently under the consideration of overseas group tours to
Ibaraki
（２）
During the on-site inspection travel, to visit some sightseeing
spots in Ibaraki
【An overseas tour planned by a travel agency】
（１）
To include at least one overnight stay in a hotel in Ibaraki on
the itinerary
（２）
The number of the overseas visitors of the tour is 6 or more.
（３）
To visit one or more sightseeing spots in Ibaraki on each day
○ Contents of the service
【To land-operators】
On the day to visit Ibaraki, a free bus is available.
【To an overseas tour planned by a travel agency】
Both on the day to check in a
hotel in Ibaraki and on the next day to check out the hotel, a free bus is available.
Procedures for an application for the service and how to make a reservation
To get more detailed information, please read the annexed paper, “the procedures to use Ibaraki free
bus service.”
Please note the matters below before making a reservation:
Before you apply for the service, please read and understand the following as we wish to
have many enterprises use the service:
（１）An application will be accepted when the tour is planned, but please start to sell the
tour within one month from the usage of buses is approved.
（２）If the tour is cancelled, the right to use of free buses will lapse.
（３）Please consult us in the case the driving distance a day is to be longer than 250 km
or the driving time of a day is to be longer 13 hours.
