Volunteers at the Medical Center and Community Volunteer Knitters make afghans, lap blankets and comfort shawls to donate to patients being cared for by Cape VNA. “It was such a wonderful treat when my Cape VNA nurse brought me my lap blanket on her visit today,” stated Peggy, a hospice patient from Cape May. “I can’t thank the volunteers enough for taking the time to make these beautiful blankets. It made my day!” Handmade for Hospice is an expansion of the Community Knitters Program started at the Medical Center several years ago.
