Golden Brass
Jewelry
Brass is a an alloy
consisting essentially
of copper and zinc in
variable proportions. It
is a very stable metal
and is beautiful like
gold, but much less
expensive.

What can be used to design my sets?
Semi-Precious Gemstones
These can be used to compliment your colors as
well as for their individual properties and stability.
Some of the more popular stones are: Amethyst
(deep purple to light lavender), Rose Quartz (pink),
Smoky Topaz (light brown), Citrine (light yellow),
Peridot (light green), Blue topaz and Aquamarine
(light blue).
Crystal
Crystal can be found in all colors. My favorite is
Czechoslovakian Fire Polished Crystal which has a
beautiful light frosted rainbow finish.
Glass
I can use a variety of glass beads including
lampwork glass beads or handmade glass in a variety
of colors. Just specify!
Freshwater Pearls
Most freshwater pearls are cultured in China.
Their unusual shapes make for beautiful and one of a
kind jewelry. Cultured freshwater pearls first originated
in Japan. The pearls formed in colors unseen in
saltwater pearls. This made for exciting new possibilities
in pearl jewelry design.
Freshwater pearls come in ivory, white, bronze,
gold, peach, lavender, pink, silver, aqua, peacock
and black and all are unique.

14 Karat Gold Filled Jewelry
Gold-filled is created by heat and pressure
bonding a layer of gold to a brass core. While the
standard practice is 12K gold, I use 14k Gold Fill in
my jewelry. Gold-filled jewelry is a much more
durable product than gold-plate and has exactly 100
times more gold!
When selecting special jewelry you want to last, to
become a family heirloom, be sure avoid gold plate
and use gold Filled.
