When Estella started she had very little training in technology, but she recognized a technology problem and decided to do something about it. Students in Estella's district lacked the resources and digital know-‐ how to meet the demands of today's 21st century workforce and entrepreneurial opportunities. Estella dreamed of delivering technology and entrepreneurial skills to her students. After she retired, she pursued that dream and made it a reality. In 2009, Estella dipped heavily into her pension fund and started a non-‐ profit, state-‐of-‐the-‐art mobile technology and learning center, and "Estella’s Brilliant Bus" was born. If Estella looks familiar, it's because in 2013, she was recognized as a “CNN Top 10 Hero” for the humanitarian genius behind her Brilliant Bus initiative. In 2014, Estella was the recipient of “Toyota’s Standing O-‐Vation Award” presented by Oprah Winfrey and she was featured in O magazine. On Super Bowl Sunday, Estella's phenomenal story was featured as one of Microsoft's inspirational "#empowering" Super Bowl ads. Celebrated across the nation, Estella Pyform is transforming the learning landscape for underrepresented minority and underserved students in the innovation economy. "Estella’s Brilliant Bus" is driving the delivery of tech-‐innovation in education to youth across America.
