Handmade in Britain returns to Chelsea Old Town Hall for the 8th year of The Contemporary
Crafts & Design Fair.
This Christmas season over 100 UK based designer makers will showcase the best of contemporary fine
crafts in all disciplines across fashion and Interiors over three days at the historic and beautiful Chelsea
Old Town Hall.
The show is an inspiring alternative to the high street and a unique opportunity to browse exceptional
crafts, buy unique and handmade gifts or commission a bespoke piece of work. This is a luxury shopping
experience with added value, a very special chance to buy directly from the makers and discover the
inspirations and processes behind the work of Britain’s most skilled craftspeople.
Handmade in Britain 14: The Contemporary Crafts & Design Fair offers a unique opportunity to explore
British contemporary crafts in a showcase of innovative design alongside exceptional craftsmanship
presenting a rich variety of form, function and style…
Indulge your wardrobe this Christmas with luxury fashion and accessories, each piece handmade and
unique…
Renowned textile artist Carole Waller presents effortlessly wearable art in rich hand painted silk
garments and Nottingham’s Yakshi Malhotra showcases her collection of luxury knitwear and scarves.
Taisir Gibreel’s vibrant silk scarf collection is based on original hand drawings and celebrates colour,
culture and diversity and Jane Hopkinson presents sculptural shapes, clean lines and striking tones in
her handmade leather handbags. Architectural influences are present in Jewellery designer Sarah
Herriot’s cutting edge, CAD designed pieces with silver, gold and rubber, and Beth Gilmour presents her
award-winning collections featuring bi-coloured stones, shaded gold and signature intricate leaf patterns.
Amongst the covetable pieces for your home discover a wealth of gift ideas to explore in time for
Christmas…
Scotland’s Sian Patterson creates ceramics as ‘functional still life’ and showcases a quiet collection of
work both familiar and distinctive, and Jonathan Rogers’ glass work presents an exploration of texture,
pattern and a layering of colour in pieces that are modern, understated and elegant. Daniel Latorre-Cruz
exhibits handmade paper lighting rendered from recycled paper and tree fibres and Sarah Grove exhibits
her textile-inspired bowls, jugs and vases from her collection of buttoned, patchwork and quilted
ceramics. Mark Hanvey from Northern Ireland showcases wood work of a finely detailed and delicate
nature in functional and conceptual forms and Goldborough offer home textiles with a modern aesthetic
created with environmentally sustainable materials.

Heart Home New Graduate Showcase
Alongside established and well-known makers the show celebrates new talent, and invites you to meet
designers at the very start of their career in the New Graduate Showcase, this year supported by Heart
Home. The editors of Heart Home have carefully selected the brightest new talent in fashion and interiors
to present their work in a dedicated gallery area in what for many is their first professional show.
