Stockton College is a mid-sized, award-winning public college, nestled on nearly 2000 acres in the pristine southeastern New Jersey pinelands. Stockton looks and feels like a private college because of our size, park-like location around our own lakes, and our strong focus on the liberal arts in student learning - all at a public college price. We’re located within 20 minutes driving distance from Jersey Shore beaches; an hour to Philadelphia; and two hours to New York City. Stockton enrolls 7500 undergraduates in more than 40 degree programs and 850 graduate students in 14 masters programs and one doctoral program in physical therapy. Our faculty members include a Pulitzer prize-winning poet, a Guggenheim fellowship photographer, and numerous Fulbright Fellows. Stockton’s School of Education offers initial certification programs to undergraduates in every liberal arts major at the college, and masters-level certification and degree programs for most specialized endorsements. Our pre-service field work program begins with an urban teaching experience in Atlantic City, and includes 160 hours of practicum in preparation for student teaching. Our graduate programs include faculty and peer coaching for focused excellence in practice. We offer small class sizes, individual faculty, staff and supervisor attention, and a portfolio-building program that results in high rates of placement for our graduates. Our program is TEAC-CAEP-accredited, and has received statewide praise for our strong clinical and co-teaching partnerships with school districts throughout southern New Jersey.
