NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of
the City of Uvalde, Texas
will convene at its regular
meeting place in the City
Hall in Uvalde, Texas, at
6:00 o’clock P.M., Uvalde,
Texas time on August 11,
2015, and, during such
meeting, the City Council
will consider the passage
of an ordinance or ordinances and take such
other actions as may be
deemed necessary to
authorize the issuance
of one or more series of
certificates of obligation
in an aggregate principal
amount not to exceed
$3,000,000 for the purpose or purposes of paying contractual obligations
of the City to be incurred
for making permanent
public improvements and
for other public purposes,
to-wit: ( 1) the purchase
and acquisition of materials, supplies, equipment,
and machinery for public
works and public safety
purposes and (2) the payment of professional services related to the acquisition and financing of the
aforementioned projects.
The certificates of obligation (the Certificates) will
be payable from the levy
of an annual ad valorem
tax, within the limitations
prescribed by law, upon
all taxable property within
the City and from a lien
on and pledge of certain
revenues derived by the
City from the operation of
the City’s combined utility
system. The Certificates
are to be issued, and this
notice is given, under
and pursuant to the provisions of the Certificate
of Obligation Act of 1971,
as amended, Texas Local Government Code
Section 271.041 through
Section 271.064, Chapter
1502, as amended, Texas
Government Code, and
the City’s Home Rule

The City of Uvalde is accepting Proposals for the
2015 Street & Drainage
Improvements Project,
Phase I – Option I pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Chapters
252 and 271. 1. The
improvements include
the full reconstruction of
nine (9) city streets (5,848
LF or 1.1 miles) with utility improvements (water
replacement/installation,
sewer replacement/ installation, and excavation/
backfill for gas line); fulldepth pavement reclamation (4”) of eleven (11) city
streets (20,778 LF or 3.9
miles); and a thin asphalt
overlay of four (4) city
streets (13,898 LF or 2.6
miles).

In a move that affects
Uvalde’s Tractor City,

Companies recently
announced the acquisition of 11 John Deere
dealerships in Southern
Texas.
With the purchase of
South Texas Implement
and Tractor City, Ag-Pro
officials say the company
has made a significant
geographic expansion
that will allow the business to serve a wider base
of customers across all
market segments, from
the consumer to the large
corporate farms.
The combined company
will have more than $650
million in annualized
sales and employ more
than 700 people. Terms of
the acquisition were not
disclosed.
Kirt Morris, division
president of Ag-Pro’s
Texas division, commented that he plans to
“sharpen the customer
support and focus on the
diverse customer base
across South Texas.”

consumers and outdoor

John Deere dealer organization with 11 locations

as South Texas Implement in Alice and adopted

made acquisitions across
the Coastal Bend of Texas.
Ag-Pro, based in Boston,
Georgia, started with a
single John Deere dealership in 1958, originally
named Boston Tractor
Company. After three
single location acquisitions, the Boston Tractor
group purchased seven
locations in Arkansas previously known as Agricultural Productivity
Companies in 2010.
Shortly after the Arkansas acquisition, the entire
