NPM-W2 – the Any-Mix-Any-Volume solution - continuation.
As a major evolution from previous Panasonic SMT placement machines, the NPM-W2 marks a significant
improvement in three respects:
1. Achievement of both high-productivity and high-quality placement.
2. Faster and more efficient product changeover.
3. Enhanced coverage of component range and extra-long PCBs.
The NPM-W2 Trilogy - Part 3
3. Enhanced coverage of component range and extra-long PCBs

►Availability of extra-long PCBs
Extended range of applicable components
The range of components has been extended at both ends of the scale. Now, thanks to the newly developed
lightweight 16-nozzle heads, 03015 microchips can be placed. At the other end of the component scale, the
3-nozzle head still preserves capability for up to 120mmx90mm components and up to 40mm tall and 150mm
long connectors.

Board handling on NPM-W2 has been greatly improved. Depending on machine specification, the machine is
able to handle PCBs of sizes up to 1200x550mm on single lane machines and 1200x260mm on dual lane
machines, ideal for long LED panels or large industrial PCBs.
Completing the NPM-W2 trilogy, the next diagram provides an overview of all features improved on NPM-W2:
We would be happy if we could interest you in the NPM-W2 machine.

Auto load feeder for NPM-type placement machines under development.
The component tape setting is a repeating task taking time and causing monetary loss. To limit these losses a
new type of feeder is currently being developed: the Auto load feeder.
The current component tape setting requires several steps to be performed by operators:
● Connecting new tapes requiring operator’s splicing skills.
● Collecting top tape waste from feeder

Auto load feeders render the above steps unnecessary and are reducing costs:
Only new tape needs to be supplied to the feeder – that’s it.
No cutting of old tapes, no splicing work, no top tape to be removed, no joint tape required.
Taking above improvements in consideration, we strongly believe the new feeders will be of great benefit to our
customer as manual work will be drastically reduced.
Please feel free to contact us for further information about the Auto load feeders.
