THE ESSENTIALS
LOVE CONNECTION
It took traveling 2,000 miles from home for
Levi Buck and Amanda Hamilton to meet.
They participated in a mission trip through
Roanoke United Methodist Church and
upon arrival, Levi set his eyes on Amanda.
The two got to know each other through
various activities, but officially became a
couple after coming back to Roanoke. And
though separated by miles for most of their
relationship, the two, Amanda says, were
"attached at the hip."
Four years into their courtship, Levi
popped the question at Amanda's house,
saying he wanted to spend the rest of his
life with his best friend.
BLUSHING BRIDE
Never one to follow the traditional route,
Amanda says she chose a blush pink and
ivory wedding gown for the big day. She
designed the color scheme – blush, gold,
charcoal gray, white and black – around
the dress.
Centerpieces at the reception included
gray lanterns and bud vases filled with roses,
hydrangeas and other flowers. Favors were
pink cake pops with gold sprinkles and tulip
bulbs for guests to take home and plant.
The couple added unique elements to their
ceremony as well. In lieu of a unity candle,
they rang a truce bell that was blessed by
their pastors.
"The truce bell is kept in our home as
a reminder of our wedding day," Amanda
says. "When arguments arise, the bell is put
to its intended use. One of us simply rings
the bell to call a truce in the argument. The
sound of the bell is meant to remind us of
our wedding vows."

VOWS TO REMEMBER
Amanda says they joke that their vows are
all they can recall from the wedding.
"It was such a whirlwind and all happened so fast," she says. "We chose to write
our vows together, to promise our love,
devotion and movie/video game dates, of
course. Our wedding was really amazing."

THE PERFECT SPOT
Lauren Pruett always knew she wanted to get
married in a field on her family's property.
When Cody Calloway decided to propose,
the couple walked to the spot in the field she
had envisioned as the perfect ceremony site.
"As I was rambling on about my dream
wedding, I turned around to find him on
one knee," Lauren says.
PERSONAL TOUCHES
The couple's elegant yet rustic wedding

featured many unique elements, such as a
handmade arbor and a wagon wheel turned
into a chandelier. Lanterns and Mason jars lit
the winding pathway that led to the ceremony
site; centerpieces at the reception included a
collection of jars filled with flowers. Bouquets
– created to be wispy – were a mixture of
peonies, hydrangeas, snap dragons, Queen
Anne's lace and roses.
Guests enjoyed handmade favors – burlap
sacks filled with Hershey Kisses, tied with
twine and a note that read "Love is Sweet."

EDITORIAL CONSIDERATION
FOR COVER IMAGE CONSIDERATION
• Provide 25-50 images for your wedding profile
& additional editorial coverage. This will ensure
we have a wide variety of photos to choose from
for your profile.
(Please do not include black & white images)
• These images must be at least
11 by 14 inches or larger at 300 DPI or higher
• Include a mix of horizontal & vertical images
• Please provide the following images:

Provide as much detail as possible. We will use as much of the information
you provide as space allows. If some of it doesn’t appear in print, we will try
to use it when your wedding is posted on bridebookva.com for our Wedding
Wednesday feature. If we need more information, someone from LeisureMedia360 will be in touch with you.
DIGITAL & PRINTED TEXT DOCUMENT FORMAT REQUIRED
Include the digital version of this form on the DVD labeled MaidenName.
