The company currently offers
three designer camera bags
handmade from high-quality
materials in Europe, with two
additional bags currently in
development including one
specifically made for men.
Who?
POMPIDOO was founded by
award-winning Latvian
photographer, Irina Kuzmina, in
2010. Her experience
photographing the fashion
industry served her well and
before long the bags were in
demand from fashion-lovers and
photographers around the
world.
Irina continues to head the
company today as both lead
designer and CEO.
When?
Irina Kuzmina founded
POMPIDOO in 2010 after an
exhaustive personal search for a
modern and attractive camera
bag that she could wear to photo
shoots or events failed to yield
results. That led her to design
her own dream bag, which
became POMPIDOO’s first
product—the Cologne.
There are also an ever-growing
number of photo lovers who are
used to capturing every moment
with their camera phones when
on the go or bloggers, unhappy
with the images they’ve been
able to capture with cheaper
cameras, who decide they want
better quality images and
choose to invest in professional
equipment.
For these individuals fashion
and convenience often comes
first, leading them to wrap their
expensive equipment in a towel
or scarf and stash it in the bag
they carry everyday.

said Kelli Murray of KelliMurray.com when asked about the
new trend of fashionable camera bags in a recent survey
conducted by POMPIDOO. for them; 10% of these busy ladies
took a moment to share how these 2 crucial parts of their lives
interact.
The company contacted 195 fashion bloggers from around the
world to ask about how photography and fashion intersected in

It may come as no surprise that Kelli wasn’t the only one
interested in a stylish solution for carrying her photo
equipment without offending her fashion sense. Julia Rebaudo
of StyleNylon.com, was one of the women who agreed,
wholeheartedly. “I’m definitely on the lookout for a gorgeous
camera bag to suit my style,” Rebaudo said.
In fact, a full 90% of respondents ‘fessed up to using everyday
female or even male handbags to carry their cameras to
events, often wrapping their expensive equipment in scarves,
hats or towels to try and protect it.
The remaining 10% of respondents were split—half said they
stashed their cameras in professional backpacks or bags, even
if the bags didn’t fit that day’s look; the other half of these
fashionable ladies simply keep their camera around their
necks at all times.
After all, no fashion blogger is complete without a camera
nearby to capture the latest style or look to share with their
fans. So why should they have to settle when it comes to an
accessory to store it in?

Like most modern women, Lima is always on the go—designed
for busy women who need a bag they can take everywhere.
This beauty queen features a delicately feminine design… but
there’s more here than meets the eye. While smaller than her
sisters, a flip top hides a spacious interior designed to fit a
mid-sized camera plus personal items, like keys and a phone.
Lima is specially designed for Interchangeable Lens Camera
(like Olympus PEN) or entry-level SLR cameras (like Nikon
D3100 or Canon 1100D.
Lima will be available in a variety of color combinations, each
made in only a limited supply.
AMSTERDAM
Purely masculine, the Amsterdam is part of the new Pompidoo
Homme line, designed specifically for men. This bag features a
strong, bold rectangular shape, but is designed to be
lightweight for easy traveling. It’s exterior is handsome and
rugged, (it’s made from aged leather) yet the interior is softly
padded and protective.
Amsterdam is designed to hold an SLR camera with a lens
attached or 1-2 smaller lenses/flashes, and a tablet PC or
laptop. A front pocket organizer stores away everything else a
modern man needs on the job—a mobile phone, memory
cards, business cards and any small personal items.

FOUNDER
Some things are simply meant to be.
That certainly seems to be the case
behind POMPIDOO and its founder,
Irina Kuzmina.
Irina is an award-winning Latvian
photographer who has always been
fascinated by how photography can
capture beauty and emotion; this led
her to work largely in portrait,
wedding and fashion photography.
After a few years she began to feel
discouraged. She spent her days
capturing bold, modern images of
leading fashion trends and delicate
snapshots of special moments, which
naturally led her to develop a strong
personal style that was equally bold
and modern. Yet she found that look
completely compromised by the
unattractive and bulky traditional
photo bags she needed to carry her
equipment. So she decided there had
to be a better way.
She went on a global search for a
camera bag that would be smart,
modern, professional—all that she
was: A bag that would perfectly reflect
her own style.
It needed to be attractive enough to
bring to a wedding; strong enough to
protect her expensive gear; and large
enough to fit everything she needed
on set. Even after an extensive search,
she found nothing available that met
her needs.
So she decided to design her own. Her
dream bag, the Cologne, debuted in
2010. It brought together the fields of
fashion and photography in an entirely
new way—sexy and sleek, it allowed
photographers to keep their
equipment safe… without
compromising their personal style.
Since then POMPIDOO has made a
name for itself by taking functional
things and making them stylish. From
the sweet and feminine Palermo to
the bold and sexy Kimberly, their
current product line displays an

multitude of colors—and there’s even
a men’s bag due out in November
